2016 and the Future

Hay Deep Spacers,

Well as I am sure you’ve all seen Sinara’s email by now I am sad to announce that Storm/Kos has opted to leave at this point as well. They have other, new adventures on their plate at the times and have opted to focus on those. As Commanding Officer I would like to wish them both the best of luck and thank them for their time on the station and for everything they did for us. This simm as gone through lots of changes, and while this is sad change, we will do what we always do; press on and continue.

In regards to recent activity, I know that Kaichi has been on top of this and has sent out a round of emails to players regarding their activity. Activity is a hot topic and one that I won’t lie I have not been good at addressing until things were too late. I have committed to Kaichi to address this and start holding players more accountable for their own involement. This includes myself. I know January was a bust a fact that I have admitted to but as a Command Team we are working as a group to get things back on track and refocused.

Naturally with these most recent changes, Kaichi and I will need to put our heads together and determine a best course of action (mission). Once that has been determined I will send out another email to the group let you all know what is going on.

It is very critical that all players maintain a level of activity that will continue to progress the storyline. A few tags here and there won’t cut it going forward. We need to see actual department progress, especially if you are a Department Head. In regards to the Department Head positions we have the following posts open that are top priority to be filled.

Second Executive Officer – must be an active player to apply for
Chief Diplomatic Officer
Chief Intel Officer

I will also be opening up the Chief of Security Position to allow for an active player. While I enjoy Greg and will continue to play him in one fashion or another I think it best at this point to allow a player into this role to help further the simm along. If you would like to submit a request to swap into one of these roles please email both myself and the XO to have your request reviewed.

On a side note, I am also working with a few players to do some characer swaps, but those will be announced after details have been confirmed.

On a personal note I know that I wasn’t as active as I should have been over the last month, and in doing that I placed a lot of pressure on Kaichi to keep things running. So I want to publically thank her for all she does. I know that it isn’t easy to come in and pick up the piece after someone else. So I do appreciate all she did for this simm.

So lets get those posts out by the 23rd as requested. It doesn’t need to be much in the way of a massive simm progression; just something to let us know what your character did over the break and a department follow up;keep in mind it's been a few months in game so plenty of opportunity in there for some CD.

Thank you all for your patience as I get this back on track and while we figure things out. You all are a good crew and between us there is an immanence talent. So let's continue to show the net what a great simm we are.
