Monthly Awards April 2016

Hay Deep Spacers,

Well as it stated some time ago, the Command Staff is really trying hard to bring the monthly awards back into the game. Hence all the previous emails about the Crew Choice. Overall we received about 8 of the 12 awards so that is a great start. Hopefully as we continue on, and people get in the swing of things we will see all 12 votes.

So here are the awards, for April, given out by the Command Staff, and your pick for Crew Choice.

1. Crew Choice: Kai (Commander Neydani Edeen, Lieutenant JG Asami Inoue)

It was stated in her nominations that, "she was the best choice due to my interactions with her thus far. She is welcoming, kind, accepting, and gave me a slight nudge to jump in feet first to the mission. I appreciate her guidance, and helping me get acquainted to the sim", "Well written. Her struggle to cope with her incarcerated girlfriend is palpable" and finally, "Kai has been an integral part of this game, and she has kept my interest going when I went through times I felt like I may fade away. I like her character development, and sassiness. Keep it up!"

I would agree with all of these and more, Kai has been a rock and a someone that I am proud to call a friend. So I hereby award Kai the Crew Choice Award for the month April. It will show on her main character Commander Neydani. (Harrington)

2. Most Improved Player of the Month: Lieutenant JG Linda OConner

Secondly, Kai and I would like to give the Most Improved Player of the Month Award to Lieutenant JG Linda O'Conner. It has been interesting to see her adapt to her new role and really shine in this position. I know we both can't wait to see how you continue to grow and develop as our new Intel Chief.

3. New Comer of the Month: Lieutenant Austin Cadwell, MD

Next, the New Comer Award we would like to give to Doctor Cadwell. The good Doctor stepped onto this simm as our ACMO but quickly and without hesitation took over as CMO; when the position suddenly opened up. He wasn't afraid to jump in and get involved. We are positive he will make a great addition to our our simm family here.

4. Captain's Merit: Lieutenant JG Desdemona Regan-Wadjet

It has been my pleasure to see this character really step up and try hard over the last month to not only get more involved but to also increase her engagement in the current mission. I have seen really growth, and development; something that is always nice to see. I know that as we move forward Wadjet will continue to be a great asset to the game. (Harrington)

5. Ribbon of Commitment: Lieutenant Kenzie Skye, Lieutenant Commander Nolan Markell

As many of you know there is a lot that goes on both in character and behind the scenes out of character. Both of these characters, and to a greater extent their players have really stepped up in the last month or two behind the scenes. They have offered guidance, been a support to the Command Staff, and really were just there for both Kai and myself after a terrible start to 2016. Very proud to call you both a friend, thank you both for all you do. (Harrington)
