Changes in Command Staff

Crew,

Well as the title implies this email deals with changes in Command; something that every simm deals with from time to time.

First off, Commander Rion unfortunately experienced a death in the family and sadly will not be able to continue with us. I wish her all the best and send my heartfelt condolences to her and her family. Dealing with lose is something that is hard, and I completely respect her need to take a step back and get her personal life in order. I know she wasn't with us long, but she will always have a home here.

Secondly, and a little more challenging will be the fact that Commander Carmichael will no longer be continuing her role as Executive Officer here aboard the station. She has a lot on her plate and I am working with her on other options, so stay tuned for more.

I know this presents a problem with two-thirds of the Command Staff leaving in one day but things like this happen in any simulation. We've been going strong for almost 6 months and we will continue to pull through. I will open the process/selection for a new XO and start taking applications immediately. Until a new XO can be found, please add me to any posts you have going and I will attempt to help you wrap them up. I will also create a basic NPC for the XO position as a point of reference for everyone to refer to. It won't be much, but I will attach it to my account so I can post as the NPC and you will be able to interact with the XO position.
