Physical Description		Thorrin is a fairly intimidating presence. He stands average height however, he is very muscular which lends itself to any intimidation that he made need. He keeps his head bald to the skin, or he keeps a military regulation buzz cut. His considered middle aged for an El Aurian. When off duty he prefers to dress in old style suits unless a function requires him to dress in the current style.

Personality & Traits

General Overview		Thorrin has fallen into the trap that many El Aurians fall into. He has seen and done too much. Due to this he is rather nonchalant about a lot of situations. He can seem to be uncaring. In fact this is a facade he cares too much about the ever changing nature of the universe. While on duty he is ultra professional, bending his professionalism to fit the command style of his superiors. While off duty he is a social butterfly known to let his hair down, and he is a bit of a drinker.
Strengths & Weaknesses		Strengths = Thorrin is inquisitive he likes to ask questions first and then decide the course of action, being that he is of the race of listeners. He has patience in abundance and is not easily angered. He weighs each option carefully before arriving at a decision. Weaknesses = Stubborn, has an abnormal fear/hatred of all things related to the Borg. The Temporal Prime Directive
Ambitions		Thorrin would have liked to have been the Director of the Department of Temporal Investigations one day, but there was too much politics. Now he serves Starfleet and the Department of Temporal Investigations in the field. He hopes that he can steer the fleet as he rises through the ranks to a position where the Federation is the supreme leader in galactic peace. His secret ambition is to one day bring all of the El Aurians back home from the diaspora and reclaim the homeworld. Thorrin has an overriding ambition to correct the timeline.
Hobbies & Interests		All things related to time travel. History in general is a great interest of his. Thorrin has spent about two thirds of his current life learning about the histories of the Federation member worlds. He is considered now to be one of the foremost experts.

History

Personal History		Not much is known about Thorrin's early life. Thorrin was born on El Auria the El Aurian home world sometime in the Earth year of 1895. He lived there happily with his family on and off until he decided to settle on Earth in the year 2250. In 2265 the Borg killed most of his family and everyone he knew when they destroyed El Auria. An event that he has never forgiven himself for missing. An event he hopes to rectify one day. He managed to escape the Borg, however, both of his parents were assimilated. Once he mourned sufficiently he continued to visit new worlds increasingly becoming enamored with the Federation. He spent his time in Federation Space on Earth learning all he can. It is here that he developed his interest in the sciences and time travel. Thorrin finds the idea of time travel to be a rather intriguing one perhaps it is because his race is so long lived. It is because of this interest that when Thorrin finishes schooling he applies and gets a job with with the Department of Temporal Investigations. He spent many a long hour here toiling to restore the timeline after Starfleet Officers such as Kirk, Picard and Janeway fouled it up. Thorrin worked for the DTI for about 101 years rising through the ranks to Senior Agent. There were rumors that he could have been the Deputy Director and the Director, but he did not play the political game well. In fact Thorrin felt that politics had no place in time travel. Since he could not play the political game he was left to rot as a Senior Agent. His career had hit a proverbial wall until he heard of the Thucydides program. When the program enters it's earliest stages he applies for a command of one of these vessels. It is as this point that he is informed that the crews of these ships will be Starfleet so he leaves the DTI and goes to the Academy. While at the Academy Thorrin did not have many friends as he had this air of superiority about him. He knew all of the answers hell he was alive when the damned warp core was invented. He did make a couple of close friends during his time there, and he keeps in touch with them to this day. Thorrin graduated the Academy with a dual major in Temoral Mechanics, and Shipboard Operations. He is promptly assigned as an Ensign in the Science Department aboard the USS Churchill. While aboard the Churchill, the ship suffered a malfunction and was thrown forward in time. Most of the crew did not realize the time difference. But Thorrin knew and he acted. He managed to covertly advise the Captain as to keep the ship from interfering too much in the timeline. All the while he devised a way to get the ship back to it's normal timeline. In this alternate timeline the Federation had been taken over by the Breen. Thorrin took the Pegasus back into the past and purposefully overshot the objective time frame by one year. He then devised a method in which the Federation could be warned and it would not break the temporal prime directive. When everything caught up with itself Thorrin had earned a medal for original thinking and a promotion to Lieutenant Junior Grade. He was then transferred to the USS Pegasus for service as a Science Officer. It was aboard the Pegasus that Thorrin's career really began to hit it's stride. He had made friends and actually rather like the ship. He thought of it as his his home. It was six years into his service on the Pegasus that he was promoted for meritorious service. He was granted the rank of full Lieutenant and the position of Assistant Chief Science Officer. In 2378 the Pegasus was tasked to go to Vulcan to assist in an internal Vulcan matter. It was at this time that he saved the life of the Vulcan high council from domestic terrorists. He was then granted a promotion to Lieutenant Commander and the position of Chief Science Officer. This was bittersweet as his good friend and mentor, who was the Chief Science Officer had perished in the incident. Thorrin continued to serve aboard the Pegasus and was happy in his routine. He received accolade after accolade. In 2384 fate struck, his orders came in for a transfer. He was being promoted to Commander and was ordered to report to the USS Cross as the Executive Officer. After serving a short time on the Cross, six years to be exact. Thorrin is finally given what he wanted when enrolled in Starfleet Academy. Partially because of his race's natural adaptability to the timestream and partially because of his long service to the DTI. He is granted command of a brand new Thucydides class timeship, the USS Herodotus. He is told that he now reports directly to the DTI and sent out on his first mission with an experienced crew. In 2393 Thorrin is ordered to take his ship back to the year 2263 to clean up the incursion that the Borg and the USS Enterprise-E caused during what is known as First Contact Day. The clean up was a big success and Thorrin completes a five year tour of duty in command of the Herodotus. In 2395 the DTI and Starfleet once again send Thorrin into the unknown. His crew is all transferred and he is ordered to take the Herodotus to Starbase Phoenix in the Vordath Cluster. It is here that he will pick up a new crew and lead them to the undiscovered countries and dimensions.
Service Record		2250 - 2361 - Arrives on Earth and serves in the Department of Temporal Investigations in many capacities. 2361 - 2365 - Starfleet Academy 2365 - Graduates the Academy Magna Cum Laude with a dual specialty in Temporal Mechanics and Shipboard Operations 2365 - 2370 - Assigned as an Ensign to the Science Department of the USS Churchill 2370 - Promoted to Lieutenant Junior Grade and assigned to the USS Pegasus Ensign as Science Officer 2376 - Promoted to Lieutenant and made the Assistant Chief Science Officer USS Pegasus 2378 - 2384 - Promoted to Lieutenant Commander and made Chief Science Officer USS Pegasus 2384 - Promoted to Commander and transferred to USS Cross to serve as Executive Officer 2390 - Promoted to Captain and granted command of the USS Herodotus Thucydides Class 2393 - Successfully cleans up after the Borg incursion in to Earth's history of 2263 2395 - Ordered to take the Herodotus to the Vordath Cluster and take on a new crew for patrol duties there. 2397 - Ordered to garrison the Herodotus to Poseidon Station. This was done to guard Federation space against the temporal rift that opened in the Carlson Nebula.
