History

Personal History		Born in 2344, Alden was brought up in San Antonio, Texas surrounded by family. A boisterous and energetic boy in his youth he was always getting in scrapes on his adventures with his brothers and fights protecting them, and his sisters. Alden had a good head on his shoulders, he was smart but not showy. He got through his secondary education with some effort but mostly his interests lay more physical jobs. He was on some of the schools sports teams and was good at building things with his hands. When he was old enough he joined Starfleet, the marines being his route of choice. Basic training was easy enough and he left as a rifleman in 2363. Alden was posted on the USS Saratoga for a number of years and was present during the battle of Wolf 359. He helped in the evacuation of the ship when it became perilous. He knew Benjamin Sisko well, and they kept in touch long after. After a little leave he was then posted to the USS Wellington in 2368. It was by this time he had specialised in close combat, he was a dap hand with a sniper rifle and passed his personal trainer certification. In 2371 he transferred to Deep Space 9 with Captain Sisko, serving as a First Sergeant. He served there until the end of the Dominion War. During this time he took part in many of the engagements involving the Dominion and is when he got the scars on his face. He fought with Jem'Hadar and suffered some injuries as a result. Though his time on DS9 was eventful it came to an end eventually and he left for pastures new. He joined Heathrow Base in 2380. They were leading teams through the wormhole into the Gamma Quadrant to explore, to protect and to meet new species awaiting a hand in friendship. It was here a minor skirmish turned into an engagement when they met a species called the Pelens. 2394 saw him retire from the corps. He was a man who couldn't keep still and ended up doing odd jobs here and there before opening up a bar on SB:50 called Fugazi. It catered mostly to the veterans of military life, a marine and armed forces bar but still welcomed all weary travellers in his house.
