| Description | The Promenade is the largest and most attractive gathering space on the station. Dozens of levels and sectors comprising of shops, restaurants, and entertainment of every type and variety. Here on Starbase 50 there is always something happening on the Promenade. Because of its importance to the station, size and complexity Starfleet personnel assigned to the Promenade sectors are put under a subgrouping of their department. This is most noticeable for Security who have a separate Promenade Security Division, Medical who run a Promenade Sickbay the size of a small hospital, and Engineering who handle maintenance all located within the Promenade. Redlight District The ‘nightlife’ of the station. A bit seedier than the other parts, if you’re looking to let loose this is the place to be. Featuring bars, clubs, casinos, holosuites and so very much more if you want it the Red Light District has it. Always with something happening a person is advised to keep an eye on their wallets and their person. Security may constantly patrol the area but there aren’t enough of them and some parts of the district can get a little rough. Shopping District Housing some of the finest shopping in the quadrant. Intermixed with restaurants, salons, cafes and all manner of businesses; the shopping district has a wide array of goods and services. Many of the station’s permanent residents make their living here in the Shopping District, supporting those that work and pass through the area. There is always room for new business and even those who have been around since the Station’s commission still find new places to indulge. Childcare Taking your own nanny is one way to go, but not always an important task while traveling. Because of this, Starbase 50 offers a station’ baby or child care facilities, for its many guests and visitors. For the safety of the children, the station's child care center is located between the promenade's hospital and security section |
