Personal Log of Cara Letsul.

Well here I am, its another Christmas but it is in another place, and not my previous command. I actually decorated my new quarters at SB50. I am in the command staff but happily I am in a lower rank. That is a different log that has been written. For now I want to make a record of my quarters, well just a small piece of it."

The focus of the log changed from Cara's face to the decorations.

In a corner of a room a miniature live pinetree sparkled with lights blinking on and off. The lights seemed to be in tune to the oldfashioned Christmas songs that played softly in the background. Near the tree was a small holographic fire within an imitation fireplace. The flames snapped and crackled as if there were logs burning upon the hearth.

Nearby upon a small table was a cup of hot cocoa with marshmallows. placed there was a comfortable cushioned chair which rocked gently back and forth The camera shifted to where Cara could be seen once more.

This time her outfit could be seen. Cara was wearing a red pyjama's which were quilted, her dark hair loose.

"I am looking forward to just sitting and drinking my hot cocoa in front of the fire, and wearing my comfortable slippers." she took a seat and picked up her cocoa. "I am not going to be able to meet with family for this holiday, maybe I have missed too many well as of late. Perhaps sometime , some day I will be with family during this festive time." Cara took an exploratory sip of her cocoa then continued.

"Especially since I've found Adira once more." a soft and gentle smile crossed her lips. "Maybe I can make some other memories like what I had years ago, when Adira was just two years old. It was the last time I would get to spend a holiday with the whole family before I went into the Academy." a sip of her cocoa and Cara continued, with a distant look of memory.

"We had a large freshly cut Christmas Tree, which we all helped to decorate, at Grandfather's house. Adira and the other children were so excited at seeing the beautiful ornaments and the colored lights. Oh gosh Adira was so cute, her mother had dressed her up in a really cute outfit, While a few people dressed up in the traditional red, or green outfits, Adira was dressed in a pretty blue dress, her hair pulled back from her face with a light blue hairband which had some sparkly snow flakes upon it." another sip of her cocoa then she continued.

"Adira decided to pick my outfit out, I remember her taking me by the hand and led me to my closet, pointing to a blue dress that was almost the same color as hers was. Adira was really smart, and she told me that I needed to match with her. I tried to convince her that I wanted to wear a red dress but she got that stubborn expression in her eyes and she placed her fists upon her hips. And said, "You wear that, you and me will be pretty."

Cara laughed at the memory. "Thinking back on that, just what if someone were to walk in, there would have been seen a sixteen year old arguing with a two year old. Adira won out, I couldn't disappoint her. She was so adorable, with her dark hair, her large innocent eyes and her pretty outfit. She was quite proud that she got me to wear my pretty blue dress, and made certain to show us off. Oh gosh her cuteness factor just melted my heart. She had me wrapped around her little finger."

Cara leaned back in her seat, "There was dancing after the dinner we had, and I got to have a dance with my father and I loved it. He is quite an accomplished dancer and the same with my mother. I remember watching them dance together, it was so romantic. Later on it was time for bed, and we were all sent off to bed, including me even though I was sixteen. After all mother wanted me to be in bed in time for Santa. When mother says something, don't argue with her."

A wistful smile drifted across her lips. "I was woken up by Adira rubbing her eyes, she wanted to see if she could see Santa. We snuck downstairs to see if we could spy him. And Adira almost squealed out loud as we did see Santa and he looked towards the stairs where we were at. And he shook his head slightly and motioned for us to go back upstairs. We quickly dashed back upstairs. I tucked Adira back into her bed and I went back to mine and fell asleep."

She drank the rest of her cocoa and stood up. "I loved that Christmas and it was my most favorite of all. Probably that was due to everyone was able to make it to Grandfather's place. Well, its time for me to get some sleep, Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays. - Cara Letsul
