Location: Main Security Office/Station Ops

K'doc had dropped his gear off in his room and went directly to the security. The doors swished open and he saw two females with Lieutenant JG insignia pips, one of which he recognized .

" Jali!! Nuqjatlh tlhih Nadev? " ( Jali!! What are you doing here? ) Followed by. " minDu' wij vIlgh!!" ( Small as ever I see. ) He stopped and looked at those in the room. " Computer! I K'doc Valadorn hereby assume command of the security division at this time. Enter log. "

Kaylee's eyes widened when she saw the rather large Klingon male step in where she and Jali were exchanging information. He looked rather impressive including the cape that settled about his shoulders. He seemed to be in full dress with a mixture of his heritage as well as Star Fleet. She straightened up from having just been leaning against the wall.

Jali, as soon as she heard a rather famliar voice spun around and looked dumbfounded seeing K'doc there. Then his words registered and her eyes narrowed, "Yet again you call me small." arms folded across her chest as she glared at K'doc. Then her glare melted away to a brilliant smile of greeting. "You are the new Chief of Security?!It is good to see you K'doc. I mean Lieutenant Valadorn." remembering that there was another person in the room currently.

Kaylee laughed. "Oh don't mind me, I was just updating Lieutenent Andloch on the current events here." giving a slight wave.

K'doc's gaze switched to Kaylee. " Very good lieutenant, would you be kind enough as to start at the beginning so that I am included in this briefing? Then let's move this conversation to my office. "

He walked in and looked at the chair and sat on the corner of the desk. " I'm going to have to replicate a new chair. " he opened up the small box he had carried in and pulled out a bag. " Would either of you like a raktajino? " He then told the replicator. " Three mugs three hundred milliliters water, hot! " He stirred in the powder form the bag and passed the mugs out. " Alright Lieutenant, bring me up to speed. " He paused and gave her a side wards glance. " And what is your name Lieutenant? You never said. "

Kaylee blushed a pretty pink then she laughed, "True I have not told you my name. I am Lieutenant Kaylee Reynolds, former Assistant Chief of Security. Pleasure to meet you, Lieutenant K'doc Valadorn. And yes I can give you an updated briefing along with Lieutenant Andloch." She walked over to where there was a clicker to bring up the viewscreen that was in the office. "And I'll take some raktajino, just, it will have to be lighter than what you would be drinking" turning her eyes towards K'doc.

Jali spoke up, " I will have some of that dark brew you've got there K'doc."

While the Raktajino was being prepared Kaylee turned her attention back to the view screen. "About a few months ago, we had a nanite attack upon the station, someone had tried to steal nanites that belonged to a Doctor Salar, a Bolian Scientist. He was murdered and the man's murder hadn't been found yet. The nanites that he had, escaped into the station's system, causing a wide spread problem. The Chief of Operations, Lieutenant Hiro Yoshida along with his team and a team from security managed to render the nanites inert and they were able to get them out of the system."

She clicked the button to go to the next item. "Almost on the heels of that incident, Airlock 6 exploded, causing widespread panic and also injured a few of our people and also caused the death of our night watch. No suspect as of yet had been found." She clicked on the button to show the damage that had been done. Also there were images of those who had been injured from the blast.

She moved the images forward, to the images of Elysian Dreams. "During a Stag Party which my husband was at but he had been called away, a cake exploded killing a dancer after she had come out of the cake, and also injured others." Kaylee's voice cracked at that part. "We were all at a party, one for the ladies and the other for the men." she cleared her throat, "It was all hands on deck. You will find a more in depth record has been sent to both you and Lieutenant Andloch."

Kaylee then clicked the device to advance to the next part. The stance of Kaylee changed becoming a bit stiffer. There was shown an image of a woman, a trill woman, "This is Yiara Tahn, she is the one who was here being a spy, she is from the Mirror Universe, from what has been found out. The Yiara Tahn that is here in what is called Prime Universe is nowhere near here."

Jali listened to the report that Kaylee was giving, frowning deeply. In fact she was feeling a wave of anger welling up inside. "What else happened." she snapped out.

With a rather unhappy expression, Kaylee continued, "A lot happened and there was a trace done which led to Lieutenant Yoshida's terminal. It was deemed that he was the one who coordinated the attacks of the station. The murder of Dr. Salar, the first and second attack of the nanites, and the bombing of the Elysian Dreams."

She breathed in a shaky breath the finished with, "I had to bring him in, Lieutenant Yoshida who is also a friend of mine. Once he was brought into be interviewed, he was officially arrested for what I stated previously." Kaylee then added. "due to my being friends with Lieutenant Yoshida, I felt that my ability to stay neutral on the investigation, my perception would be compromised. I therefore turned over the investigation to Lieutenant Isabelle Mattix."

" So one of our own was accused of a captial offense. Is he still in custody? If so I'll need to interview him. What type of forensic investigation was done? What do we know about the bomb and it's components? What type of detonator was used? Have further sweeps of the station been done since then to make sure that other explosives haven't been brought in? I trust all these questions have been answered in your full report Lieutenant Reynolds?

K'doc went over to his computer. " Computer record following. All security tricorders will have a bomb detection program loaded on to them and sweeps will be done every seventy two hours by roving security patrols of all critical areas and where people gather in heavily concentrated areas to prevent mass casualties. "

He continued. " Furthermore the surveillance rooms WILL be maned around the clock and work in conjunction with the roving security patrols in keeping watch for suspicious persons and activities. "

" And to all watch sergeants. A two man security roving teams will assigned at the start of each shift and be issued phaser rifles and a flak vest. Those not assigned to patrol duties will be stationed inside of critical areas with the same as for mentioned gear. This will be standard routine from this day forward. End recording and issue as orders. "

He turned to the ladies sitting at the desk. " So tell me, who is the best security investigator that I have? Other then you lieutenant Reynolds. I understand you have recently taken the oath and will be departing to go with your husband, and congratulations on your bonding."

Kaylee processed the questions that K'doc had asked, then she answered them, in reverse order. "Yes I did take an oath of marriage, and my husband had already left. I will follow him after things are settled with Lieutenant Yoshida, and he is set free. I vowed I'd not leave until the investigation is done." Kaylee replied, "As for the best investigator, that is Lieutenant Isabelle Mattix. She took over the investigation when I stepped down from doing so." She walked over and decided she wanted the raktajino that K'doc offered. She picked up a mug and took a drink of it. It was strong but she didn't care. Lowering the mug, she then continued.

"The forensics report, of the cake of doom, the explosion was set off by remote. Its components seemed a bit ambiguous as to what it is made of. Security sweeps, there has been several done. Nothing picked up yet. As for the best investigator, Isabelle is currently on the job. Chientaka had requested me to go there but, I felt that Isabelle would be the best one to do so." she could feel the raktajino start hitting her blood stream, waking Kaylee up further than what she had been earlier.

"Lieutenant Yoshida is still incarcerated in the brig, he does have representation from the JAG officer, Commander Rachel Malbrooke." She answered.

" This case is dragging on and this man deserves to know if he is going to be incarcerated or exonerated. We'll need to talk to him as soon as...."

K'doc's statement was interrupted by a beep from his combadge. "Lieutenant Valadorn, are you in a private area, are you alone? Are you in a secure area." came Cara's voice over the com.

Kaylee looked at Jali, raised an eyebrow then motioned with her head towards the Klingon woman for them to leave, then looked over towards K'doc motioning for the two women to leave. Jali nodded in agreement.

" I am now. What is it that you need Commander? "

Cara took a breath then she said, "During our conversation I forgot about something important to tell you. And no, it isn't about my joining House Valadorn." there was a hint of amusement then it died away as she made her next statement. "From some information brought to my attention via the intelligence department, there maybe a third explosive device somewhere in Station Operations. From what the chief Intelligence officer Aer Feshau has said. The current timeline has been disrupted. Whenever this device is supposed to be set off, it hasn't happened yet. It is getting close to shift change so... " Cara let it hang there.

K'doc sprang to his feet. "Understood Commander. I am enroute and will be there shortly and I shall be discreet as possible about it . K'doc out. " He clipped a kit and a tricorder to his belt and exited the office. K'doc Looked to the ladies standing there. " I need security to respond to Ops ASAP and prevent to incoming duty shift from entering and I need it done quickly and quietly. I also need them to slowly and discreetly get the current duty shift out of Ops without being seen. Have the two greenest security recruits meet me at Ops and stand by here for incoming information. " With that said he departed from security at a full sprint until he arrived at Ops.

Both Jali and Kaylee looked sharply at K'doc then gave a nod. "Will do." And they sprang into action. All those that were in Security at the time were now in high alert, and were sent to do their duty.

In Operations, Cara hadn't come out of her office just yet, keeping her head cool, her senses stretching outwards towards main operations. When she sensed that K'doc had arrived, she stepped out of her office. She greeted him and the recruits with a smile. "Ah good to see you again, what have we here? And if you need me to do so, I will get out of your way."

"It's about the memo I sent you for the drug interdiction training for these new recruits, They'll each scan for the target package and then we'll be out of your way in no time. " He turned his attention back to the recruits and started showing them the functions of the tricorder as they looked on and nodded to the instructions.

He handed the tricorder to the first cadet and had him start the scans at the far end of Ops, after five minutes of scanning the first half of Ops he took the tricorder back. "You'll be notified of your grade upon the completion of this exercise." And handed off the tricorder to the second recruit who began his portion of the task by scanning the other half of Ops. The Recruit had been scanning for almost the entire five minutes when the tricorder pinged and K'doc went over to look at the reading.

K'doc walked off to the side. Recruit I want you to read off the long string of numbers at the top of the screen, But not to quickly. I need to confirm on my tricorder that the numbers are correct. " with that said he dropped to the floor and lay by a removeable panel. " Alright recruit, start reading off those numbers while I confirm."
The recruit looked puzzled briefly but did as he was instructed.

K'doc gently pried the corners of the panel off as to make as little noise as possible and set the panel aside and after a short search found a device. He pulled the demolition tools from his kit and began working and tracing the circuits and wires and snipped the first two wires and the backup circuit as well and removed the device from the panel and stood back up with the device in hand. "Well done gentlemen, you've just earned yourselves three days of R&R. "

The recruit that was still holding the tricorder cried out. " Sir!! That worker bee has been loitering nearby and is now departing rapidly. " K'doc tapped his combadge . "Engineering, lock on tractor beams to worker bee pod number 740 and bring it in!"

" Aye sir. " Came the reply.

A few moments after the worker bee pod was held fast by the tractor beam, a white flash of light came inside the pod and slowly faded away. K'doc slammed his fist onto the countertop and let out a string of klingon curses. " They were beamed out dammit! Scan for a cloaked ship nearby! " remembering that the Ops crew were still in the hallway, and no one was there to responded to the command.

K'doc growled, and then tapped his badge once again. Engineering, bring that pod in and secure it for security to investigate. He then took the device to Cara's office and placed it on the desk.
"Don't worry it's deactivated. It was placed next to the outer hull. Had it gone off, it would have most likely pulled about half of the Ops staff out before the emergency force field established and it shall be taken to forensics for comparison with the other devices . The enemy has studied us well and knows our weaknesses, but they will make a mistake and then we shall be the ones who shall defeat them in the end. "

A quick intake of breath was all that Cara gave, when seeing the deactivated device. Her face had gone slightly pale, reaching out to touch the device then stopped, her finger hovering over it. She pulled her hand back not, wanting to contaminate it any further. "Wouldn't want to put too many fingerprints upon it, if there are any on it. I do want this studied though and find out the compound it was made out of." her hand started to tremble and she reached into the lower drawer of her desk and took out a silver flask, and unscrewed the top and took a long pull from it.

It was a flask she kept on hand, but never really drank much from it. She couldn't remember the last time she had done so. This situation she felt merited a drink, the burn of the rum burning down her throat to her stomach. It was helping her recover from the shock, especially just how close those who worked in Station Operations, came to losing their lives.

"Not one word needs to be known except for key people. I do not want a wide spread panic to ensue. There is enough trouble that has been springing up from the other two explosions." Cara giving K'doc a firm gaze. "I will let Commodore Rice know of this development also."

She massaged the back of her neck, "This day has been very busy, but I am rather glad that you have arrived K'doc."

K'doc nodded. "Security will get to work on this right away Commander, and of course it shall be kept under wraps and to as few people as possible. As you said, we don't need to panic the population of the entire station. Now if you'll excuse me I have to get back to work." He moved to the door and stood in it's open frame. "I hope one day that I will be able to prove my worth to this station."

Cara walked over to K'doc, and said quietly. "You have already proven your worth, you saved lives, Lieutenant Valadorn. You prevented what could have proven to be a major disaster." Her gaze drifted out towards ops where the next shift was now being allowed in to take their places. She shivered, then she looked back up towards K'doc's. "Later on, we shall share a drink when this is all finished."

K'doc gave a soft chuckle. " I only did what was expected of me, like any officer or klingon would do." He looked at Cara and grinned. " Are you sure you didn't just set this up so I'd have a little fun on my first day here. " He teased. " But I will take you up on that offer of a drink later."

Cara gave a mock, long suffering sigh, at his comment then chuckled. "Yes yes, that is exactly what it was." she joked, then her laugh and smile faded. "Thank you and we can arrange for when we can have that drink."

She watched as K'doc strode away then went back into her office. That was when she received a call from Medical. With a bit of a sigh, she placed her flask back into her bottom drawer, and answered the call... In the back of her mind, Cara gave a sigh, the day was proving to be even more busier.
