A Rude Awakening

Mission: Mini Mission: When The Cat's Away
Location: Aer's Quarters
Timeline: MD05 0400

Jali had drifted off to sleep in the chair she sat, next to Aer's bed. Jali had promised she'd stay and she did. However around 0400 Jali woke up startled, hearing a low beep beep beep, and she fumbled for the padd. Her sluggishness disappeared rather quickly, as she saw an security alert. "Aer, Aer wake up, trouble's come to the station." gently but firmly shaking the Chief of Intelligence awake.

Aer stirred and threw out a hand into fresh air. "There is always trouble on the station... I want a week in bed... or a week where people bring nice things to us." she grumbled half asleep

Truthfully she'd not been sleeping well anyway. A couple of hours here and there mixed with nightmares and insomnia made for a poor combination.

Jali reached out and took the hand Aer had put out. "I really hate waking you up, just something is going on and we need to find out what. And I agree that sounds lovely, especially with all that has already transpired. A week with people bringing nice things." smiling. " I would love to spend time with a someone. I think your man will be back soon?" she having had noticed the images of Colonel Patton.

"Goddess, I hope so!" Aer said throwing the cover from her body. "It has honestly felt like years he's been away. Although I suppose it wont be the last time..." she sighed and began to get changed in front of Jali without a care.

"You know, I was talking to some of my analysts earlier and they'd been picking up increased chatter from the edge of the sector. Looked like altered Breen carriers. I passed the intelligence report on to security before finishing for the night." Aer said as she pulled up her trousers, her little bottom disappearing into the blackness of clothing.

"Definitely something is afoot, and we have a planet to keep safe too. Aquil, would hate for something to happen to that planet like what happened to Earth. Surprise attack." Jali shuddered. "It looks like any days off are cancelled and rightly so."

Aer threw on her coat, "Well I suppose we had better find out what's going on then. I mean you did wake me up, lets make it count."

"I agree." Jali replied.

Just as the two women headed for the door, there was a chime and when the door opened there was Tatiana. "Oh good you're awake I was coming by to check on you." stepping away from the door, to allow the ladies to exit.

"There is trouble brewing, big time." The blonde intelligence officer told Aer.

As they exited Aer's quarters she smiled at Tatiana then quickly became a little more serious due to the nature of her visit. "Yes, I can sense the tension on the station rising." she admitted. "I'm thinking based on reports from my analysts... Breen."

"Yes the Breen, we've got people who are helping to move people down to Aquil, evacuating them. By my calculations we're expecting them around 1600 Today. Give or take. And its going to get messy, very messy indeed." a furrow of worry in Tatiana's brow.

Jali looked in askance towards this woman she'd not met before. "Er, just who are you?"

"I am the one who delivered the message of the upcoming attack." Tatiana replied matter of factly.

Aer was unsure if Tatiana wanted to keep her anonymity intact and decided against sharing her name. "She's a friend." she simply said. If word got out that she was on the station then other things aside from the Breen would probably come out of the woodwork.

"Someone who is wearing the colors of intelligence, hopefully is a friend." Jali giving Tatiana another look.

"Now don't worry about me, I am a friend, can be a very good friend." Tatiana replied. "I am Commander Tatiana Dragos, of which I am certain your chief of security would find out soon enough." giving the hybrid security officer a good look, "He is someone not to be trifled with from what I am hearing. I do not know much about you, except that you are the assistant chief of security."

Jali just gave a nod. "Indeed I am, other than that we have work to do." as they walked further down the corridor. She glanced over to Aer. "Since you two are in the same department, we can part ways here and I get to my department."

"Sure." Aer replied. "If there is to be a fight then we should be in our own departments when it all hits. I'll see what my analysts and field agents can do. Get my logistics staff to help Strategic Ops."

Tatiana responded, "Its going to take everyone working together, that is for certain."

"I am certain that Commander Letsul would be rather appreciative if that was done, she's going to be needing all the help she can get." Jali stated then turned and set off at a bit of a jog.

Tatiana turned to Aer. "Okay well, looks like we're on the same page."

Aer nodded. "Let's get to the Intelligence suite and see what we are dealing with." She began to move down the corridor with Tatiana following.
