Andre wasn't too happy, he had received a message from Cara, letting him know that she would have to postpone her date with him for a few days. With her being a part of the command staff of the station it seemed that the date he had hoped for, wasn't going to happen. Then he received a message from her. The beautiful Cara Letsul.

It was stated for him to meet her in front of the Big Easy Bistro and there they would go from there. Andre' was elated. For now he will have his chance at having a date with her. Would she even be able to tell who he is right away? So far he's not had to worry,

Cara was there waiting for Andre', wearing a light blue dress, her hair loose and part of it caught back with a floral style barrette, which had white silken flowers in it. Cara was looking to see if she could spot the shy man named Andre', her face brightening when she saw him draw near. She walked up towards him, taking Andre' by both hands giving them a warm squeeze.

"So glad you were willing to try once more. I am so sorry that I've kept taking a rain check, things have just been so busy as of late." Cara softly remarked.

Andre his feelings of ire seemed to just melt away, with her looking into his eyes and she, Cara, was holding his hands. He could remember the many times he's been wanting to once again have a connection with her. Andre had to keep his emotions guarded though, not wanting Cara to realize who he truly was. He was enjoying this game though, of being an unknown, Cara not knowing who he was. Andre' aka Vasal having a new face, was taking sheer pleasure though, feeling the goosebumps rise up his arms. Oh how he wanted to pull Cara into his arms, feel her against him. He couldn't yet, as he was the shy bashful man finally having a date with the lovely dark haired beautiful woman. He even gave a shy glance towards Cara.

Cara could see his shy glance, saw the faint tint of a blush from Andre and she smiled gently, releasing his hands. "Shall we get something to eat and then maybe, take a walk in the arboretum? This way we can get to know each other a little bit more?"

At this moment Cara was giving herself a respite from the stress that has been ongoing. The disappearance of Neil, the murder investigation of Jackson Porter. She had brief moments of time with others during the shore leave before Neil Harrington's kidnapping. Just short times though. Then it was back to the grind. She smiled inwardly though, as to her mental complaints. There were those who were having a terrible time, one of them was Adira and the children. Her smile faded away as she thought of the family.

Andre noticed that Cara's bright smile faded away "is there something troubling you?" he asked softly. Of course he was interested, maybe he could gain some insight as to what went on in Cara's mind.

Cara's eyes drifted back up to Andre's then "It is nothing, besides, we do have a lunch to enjoy. Shall we?" the distant expression in her dark hued eyes fading away. Cara linking her arm with Andre's.

Lisette gave a dazzling smile when Cara walked into the Big Easy Bistro. "Tis good to see the two of you, finally eet is happening."

Cara chuckled, her tone warm and filled with amusement at Lisette\s reaction, "Yes Lisette, it is."

"Good then we have the perfect spot for the two of you. Come follow me." Lisette responded, leading the two of them to a nice spot, near a miniature fountain which had plants, making a somewhat private romantic spot.

Andre was still feeling a bit nervous, he had dreamt about this for such a long time and now it was going to come to fruition. She did seem distracted, he wasn't certain as to why, however, he was going to take advantage of this.

Cara took a look at the setting, gave a soft smile towards Lisette. "This is a lovely setting, thank you."

And it truly was, Cara noted the cedar looking lattice against the wall which had delicate grape vines upon it. She also noticed that there were small grapes that were beginning to form. It took her back to her grandfather’s vineyard, where grapes of different varieties were grown and still grown. “Definitely, this is perfect.”
Lisette gave another smile, then glanced towards Cara’s date, Andre who seemed to have eyes only for Cara. The man seemed to have a hunger in his eyes as he gazed at her.

He turned as if feeling Lisette scrutinizing him, “Yes this is a perfect setting for our first date, perhaps the menus would be a good start for us to choose our dinner?”

Andre’s tone was pleasant enough, though he seemed impatient, and he was, he wished to concentrate completely on Cara and this long awaited date he’d been looking forward to for such a long time.

Lisette gave a slight chuckle, she understood his urging for her to leave the two of them alone. She gave a nod. “I’ll return in a few to get your orders.” and she turned to leave, cheerily greeting some other patrons who had just come in.

Andre’ smiled and gestured towards the table, “M-my lady?” his face turning a shade of pink, stepping into his shy personae stumbling over his words. . That was one thing Andre was really good at, slipping into a character after the many years he’d been working undercover. For both StarFleet as well as his own indulgences. He pulled out the chair for her and then slid the chair forward as she took her seat.

“Thank you.” Cara giving another smile, A shy gentleman, most definitely

Andre took a seat across from her, giving another shy smile. “I-I can’t believe this is actually happening. A date with you.” his cheeks turned even darker pink, as he mentioned this fact.”I thought this wasn’t going to happen.” he looked down at his hands which were in his lap, then looked back up towards her.

“Once again I am truly sorry, my work ended up keeping me busy. However, here we are.” Cara stated, “Finally a chance to get to know one another.” making herself a bit more comfortable and leaning forward to pay more attention to Andre.

Andre feeling rather shy, averted his eyes, his cheeks gaining a rosy color to them. “Ah yes, I am grateful for this.” His voice has a slightly higher pitch than his own when he was in his ‘normal’ persona. He picked up his menu to decide what he wished to eat, and to have some barrier from Cara’s intense gaze. There were times that he felt Cara had a way to pierce through into the very soul of a person and know what they are like. A tap at his menu brought him back to the moment. Andre lowered the menu to find Cara giving an impish smile

“Hello there, you disappeared back into your tower. I thought I would have to storm the castle walls to get you back out of there.” Cara gave a light laugh.

Andre chuckled wryly. “Sorry I had gotten lost in thought there, I was just trying to decide what I would like to eat.”

Cara’s thoughts had drifted to another time in the past, remembering some delicious food she had. She noticed that Lisette had come back to take their order. With a smile Cara stated.

“I am going to have some spicy shrimp etouffee, Ceviche, creamy crawfish and spinach, and some creole jambalaya,” she stated, “With a white Zinfandel. “ Cara was hungry, it felt like she hadn’t eaten much this day. Maybe even not much during the past couple of days. “What will you be having?” She was definitely curious about his tastes in food. “And I’ll be having the sweet cornbread muffins with butter.

Andre gave a nod, then said to Lisette, “Duck à l' orange for the main entree, and my salad will be sweet potato with Andouille sausage. A Cabernet Sauvignon to accompany the food and for dessert, a beignet with some coffee. If you please?”

Lisette gave a nod, and then left to give the order to her husband.

Once Lisette left, Cara turned her attention back to Andre, “Well, now that we are alone again, are you enjoying being here on the station?” deciding to have that be a lead up of a conversation. She truly hoped that he didn’t pull back into his shell, he was starting to come out of it and seemed like such an interesting man. She felt there were some hidden facets to him that she wanted to find out.

“I am enjoying the station so far, though it has been a bit busy due to the famous author’s visit. I have heard some gossip that he didn’t arrive at his book signing? I don’t know what is happening and why he didn’t show up. There are speculations that he had fallen into a drunken stupor and is having to reschedule his book signing.” Andre commented.

Cara was able to keep her emotions in check, realizing that rumors were running rampant, and she was getting pressure as to letting people know about Jackson Porter’s death. She was going to have to make that announcement, very soon. Just not yet, right now she needed to live in this moment much like what Faux had spoken to her about. Just a moment of being on a date with a handsome man, who was adorable in his shyness and starting to come out of it as they were talking.

“It has been said that has happened from time to time, especially when he gets into writing his books.” she commented, then asked, “ Have you read them?”

“I’ve only read a couple, the books I do prefer to read instead are the classics, such as Sherlock Holmes, and I also have read the Count de Monte Cristo, as well as the Scarlet Pimpernel. Those I do like immensely.” Andre stated. He was utilizing his own knowledge of Cara, knowing full well those are some of the books she was fond of reading,

“Oh I love those books, they are some that I like to read over and over.” Cara answered quite happily, feeling like she has found someone she’ll be able to talk about books with.

“As do I. Perhaps we can go out again and have a lively chat as to what other books we have in common that we like to read..” Andre suggested.

Cara nodded eagerly. “ I would like that very much” then looked up as LIsette brought over their food. “Oh my it looks like it is ready!” giving a warm smile.

“Bon appétit.” LIssette responded, with a return smile.

LIsette left, leaving Andre and Cara to enjoy their meal, and they did.

Andre regaled Cara with the people he had met, when he made his deliveries, Cara spoke of the people she had met, during her travels to a vacation spot. One that she loved going to, the historical town of Bath, England where she bathed in the famed Roman baths that the name of the place was named after.

Andre warmed up a bit more, allowing himself to look Cara in her eyes. She was pleased that he was now seeming to be more comfortable talking with her. All too soon, it seemed to them both that the meal was at an end.

Wiping her mouth with the napkin, Cara gave a reluctant sigh, “It seems that our date had come to an end.” she felt a small vibration from the padd she had in her skirt pocket, it was a reminder that she had an appointment soon with a patient of hers. Rising up from the chair, Andre rose up as well, “Shall we plan another date? I am afraid I will need to put our walk in the arboretum at a different time.”

Andre felt some disappointment then nodded, afterall there will be another date in the hopeful near future.”Of course, that would be great!” he exclaimed.

Cara smiled. “Until then, Andre.” holding out her hand to touch his.

Andre decided to be bold, caught hold of her offered hand, and lifted it to his lips. “Until next time, Cara.” kissing the back of her hand.

Cara’s eyes widened at this show of boldness, her cheeks coloring a pale pink, and she loved it. “Until next time Andre ” and on that note she walked away, turning once to glance back at him with a delighted smile before she left the Big Easy Bistro.

When she was out of sight, Andre whispered, “Yes!” doing a slight fist pump in the air. He was very pleased with this accomplishment. He not only had a successful date with Cara, but has another one lined up in the hopeful near future.
