Mission: Mini Mission: Lighting Up Shadows
Location: Shuttle craft Medusa

Tatiana left Aer's quarters, and straight away set off to leave Poseidon Station. She was able to get clearance to head down to the planet below, Aquil. Her musings, her instincts, were nudging her to send out contact to Grekas, away from the station.

Upon a summit not too far from a secluded waterfall, away from the sacred ground of the Aquilans, Tatiana sent out this message, after adding some codes that only he could decipher.

Kaillu Grekas, you are needed. Tatiana deliberately leaving off his rank in Star Fleet. One never knew where he would be, gathering information. Or even having meditation time. I await your response on the planet Aquil, I am including my coordinates. Tatiana Dragos

Now to wait to see if he'd arrive or even contact her.

Kailu had taken a very short time, a small leave of absence between postings since leaving the Merlin. It just wasn't the ship for him, the right fit and the people that were on board just weren't what he wanted for crewmates. Some were okay, Evelyn even more so.

He had been doing some solo reconnaissance for Starfleet Intelligence. He was on a small craft, unmarked and nothing of his true identity on board. Nothing that would link him to Starfleet. His ship was a battered old runabout styled vessel and he was posing as a courier as many of them traversed the quadrant doing odd jobs, delivery ones being the most common.

A light quietly flashed. It had been doing so for a while now and he finally relented and went to see what it was.

'Ana...' he began his reply. Kailu had never really liked using real names over open 'air'. 'I am always needed. It just depends whether your need is greater than the one I am fulfilling now. I will meet you, but not at the coordinates you choose. I will find you on Aquil.' he sent to the planet. Vague as ever he didn't like giving specifics unless he had to.

Still, he moved and sat down at the conn of the runabout and set a course. In the background he heard Evelyn shuffling about, probably making supper.

The scent of a savory stew wafted its way towards the front, and the soft clunk of two bowls made of wood being set down upon the small table in the back. Then the warmth of a body against his upper back could be felt. "Supper's ready when you are." Evelyn softly stated, a kiss upon the back of his neck before she moved back towards the eating area, her fingers trailing along his shoulders.

Aquil

Tatiana having received Kailu's message, gave a nod at his wisdom and moved from where she had sent her message. There was a place she wished to sit where the fresh water and the salt water meet, and the temperature is slightly warm. She could hear the waves, and the sea birds cry above. The sea breeze caressed her hair, while the light scent of fragrant tropical flowers made its way to her nostrils. She took a deep breath, allowing the tension she had been feeling to ease away. The flat rocky outcrop, was perfectly situated for her to dangle her bare feet into the water.

Kailu wore a poncho styled over coat with a hood, it was over his normal clothing of course but Aquil was a wet planet and he liked to be prepared. Plus it didn't look out of place as he moved between the people there.

He had been tailing Tatiana for a while to see if anyone was following and when he was satisfied she wasn't, he moved to stand just behind her. "This planet is very noisy." he commented.

"Depending on where you are at." Tatiana responded, "This area, there isn't very many people. So I chose it. " Not looking behind her, Tatiana hadn't jumped when he spoke, there was that 'sense' of someone coming up, feeling the slightest change in the air, even the softest of sound of someone's approach. "Though we should move." Tatiana making to pull her feet out of the water to pull on her shoes. "Water tends to pick up the slightest vibrations of someone approaching." Tatiana remarked, rising to her feet then turning around to face Kailu. "I am glad that you arrived."

"No, this planet is noisy no matter where you are." Kailu corrected her. To him the people were too free with their emotions, the planet itself almost had a feel of its own. His people were more connected to the universe than mainstream El Aurians so had a better understanding, a unique connection to all things.

Kailu raised an eyebrow at the mention of vibrations but quickly took her meaning.

"You did ask for me." Kailu said as they began to move. "And I didn't have a lot going on aside from a stew in the back of my runabout." he neglected to mention Evelyn. It wasn't that she wasn't important, but she was not relevant to the conversation and he always tended to hold his cards close to his chest.

"Yes I did, wasn't certain if you would answer, but one could only hope." Tatiana then responded to his other comment. "This planet is filled with life, both below the surface and above always constantly changing. However, there is a particular need for your talents, Commander Aer Feshau-Patton needs a select few to create a team for an investigation. She will be spearheading this endeavor, so she will give more information."

"I always have ways of hearing messages and sometimes know the need to respond through shifts in the universes mood." Kailu cast his hand up to the sky in a sweeping motion before turning back to Tatiana. "And I assumed that I was needed for something as most don't choose to contact me. I am seen as more of an eccentric amongst Starfleet Intelligence. I believe my last psych evaluation gave the counsellor nightmares." he shrugged. Human's could be so impressionable. "I will head to your station and seek out the Commander." he didn't like her double barrel name, was too much of a mouthful.

"I will meet you there then, unless you are willing for me to hitch a ride with you?" Tatiana asked. "I will be part of the team that is being put together." she added. Tatiana also wondered who else will be added to this team of finding the unseen.

"I don't see the logic in you hiring transportation if I am going there." Kailu offered rather backhandedly. "You will have to meet Evelyn though. It is more her ship than mine." he looked away with sighing eyes.

"I see, lets head back to the station then." Tatiana taking in his demeanor.

When the pair approached the shuttle, Evelyn glanced outwards, checking the demeanor of Kailu, her fingers brushing along the weapon which was placed near the opening. She wasn't one who was going to take chances. Life had taught her that in the previous months.

"Ah I see we have a passenger, welcome welcome." Evelyn called out, pushing a lock of her red hair behind her ear. "Would you like anything to drink?" stepping backwards to clear the opening.

"A drink would be splendid." Tatiana replied.

Evelyn retrieved some tea for their guest, green tea of which Tatiana was grateful for.

"Commander Dragos will be accompanying us to Poseidon Station." Kailu said as he threw his jacket over the back of a chair. Evelyn hated this, he wasn't the most neatest person in the galaxy.

Moving further into the craft Kailu flexed his arms out, stretching them as his muscles tensed and relaxed.

"Very well, and we'll be off very soon then" Evelyn remarked with a smile. "Shall we, love? Besides I do have some cargo to take to one of the vendors there. This works out quite nicely." she did have a shipment of requested items, needing to help stock the shelves of one of the vendors that were on the station.

"I'll start the departure procedure now." Kailu said simply. He was often a man of very few words. As the computer 'spun' up he looked at Evelyn. "You have cargo?" he asked.

"I am selling the items I've made, through different vendors. Nothing that can be traced, however it adds to our operational coffers, and keeps us going. Especially since I am just a humble person utilizing my crafting skill, and making money in doing so. It seems that there is a demand for work involving beadwork of such I am able to do so."

Tatiana took a look at Evelyn, "Bead work, such as dresses and slippers?"

"Oh yes." Evelyn beaming with pride. "I've got some lovely dresses which I look just splendid in".

Kailu had already turned to face the console as Evelyn spoke to Tatiana. There was a little head nod to her looking nice in dresses, he agreed with that. She had made several of his clothing items over the past few months. "Just as long as you keep a low profile." he commented. He knew she did, but he still always said it.

A walk over to where Kailu was at, Evelyn gave a him a quick kiss. "I will do my best, and definitely hide my hair." giving a wink. "I appreciate the reminder love." She moved back to where Tatiana was now seated. "I also do wood carvings and when I meet with my sister, there are the tapestries she makes. Someday though she will open up a bakery where we can sell our goods as well."

Tatiana had watched as Evelyn showed her affection towards Kailu, having a wistful expression in her gaze. She has been neglectful of her own personal life. "Baked goods you say?"

"Oh and teas, definitely teas." Evelyn added.

"Honestly think sometimes I am just a transport for her real love of cooking and sewing." Kailu grumbled. "It does keep a few bars in my pocket though if I need to pay for information." he kept his eyes on the console in front of him.

Evelyn gave a quiet laugh. "Yes, yes of course I do love cooking and sewing, I love you more." moving to give him a kiss on the cheek, her hair falling forward over his shoulder, a lock of her hair tickling against his cheek.

Tatiana watched Kailu and Evelyn with some amusement, liking the ease and naturalness the redhead displayed in her interaction with Kailu. Tatiana lifted her mug of tea to her lips to take a sip of the beverage, giving a smile. She hoped that her 'children' will find someone to spend time with. Much like she hoped to do sometime as well.

"Yes, yes." he waved the hair away from his cheek and shifted in his seat as the show of emotion got too much in front of company. "We'll be at Poseidon station soon." he stated more of a hint to get everything sorted than getting familiar.

Evelyn gave a quiet chuckle, and moved away after another kiss on his cheek. "Well now, you are right, I do need to go over my inventory once more just to make certain they will pass inspection." the red head going on towards where the cargo hold was.

"if you would like, I could come help you." Tatiana offered.

"No it is alright. I've got things covered. You just enjoy the ride, and just relax. I am thinking that you'll be happy you've done so." Evelyn remarked over her shoulder. "Let me know when we have arrived, Kailu." then disappeared from view.

"Well I wouldn't just leave you here." he grumbled to himself quietly. "Yes Ev. I will." Kaila said louder for her to hear as she moved into the back of the shuttle.
