Hello Again

Location: SB 50/Shuttle

Aer was putting together a team, in order to find out what the Unseen is doing and who actually is part of the group. A group which has been working behind the scenes, causing mischief. Stefan wanted to get another person involved, who he thought would be a good addition, and that was Kaylara Loran. He hoped that the Pioneer wasn't too far off, in the middle of something, and hoped that she'd be able to come help.

He went to his quarters, the place quiet, Stefan was alone. He keyed in a code with which to keep the message encrypted, until Kaylara opened it up.

Once the message was opened, there would be Stefan.

"Hi Kaylara, I hope this finds you doing well. I was wondering if you were in the middle of a mission, if not, would you consider helping us here on the station? Send me a return message I'll have an indicator of when or if you do."

Stefan hoped she would contact him, however there isn't a guarantee that she would. Their initial meetings after their first meeting was in essence tumultuous.

Kaylara was on her way back to Poseidon Station after helping a friend with an undercover operation. Her Romulan heritage and her fondness for dressing goth were exactly what her friend needed. She didn't even have time to tell Stefan she'd been given an extended LOA to stay behind with him, or to tell him she had to leave for a few days, which turned out to be a bit longer, and now she wasn't quite sure how to tell him she was back.

When she saw a message from Stefan about a mission, she smiled. Yes, she definitely wanted to be involved. She was also pleased he thought to contact her and ask.

She sent him a quick reply that consisted of one word: "Yes."

"Do you need someone to pick you up or can you arrange transport." Stefan asked, in his return message. He was actually happy to hear that she was willing to do so. He was in fact looking forward to seeing Kaylara.

"Actually, I'm on my way back. I had to take a...little trip." She was deliberately vague. "I took an extended leave and then was asked to help with some data retrieval." It was her first time going undercover. If you counted Gothulan as undercover. She didn't.

"I see."Stefan replied feeling the sting of well something, he wasn't certain as to what it was. Disappointment? "I should let you be then, I don't want to keep you from getting back to your ship." he was about to sign off then decided to state why he called her. "I do need to speak to you about something, but best not to do so over the current communications." even though he was certain to make things rather secure, one never knew if it could be cracked. "I was wondering you could help out on something but, seeing as you are at the end of your extended leave, this is probably not a good time."

"Stefan, I took an extended leave to stay on Poseidon Station. But before I could tell you, I was called away. I'm due to arrive in a few hours. I'm happy to help out."

Stefan's brain froze for a moment, she did what? A few slow blinks as he stared at the message. It finally broke through just enough for him to respond.

"Wait, what? Uh okay, I am looking forward to see you." Stefan feeling elated but also worried. Worried about what his behaviour was going to be like when they meet once again.

"Okay." He didn't seem that happy to hear she was coming back, and she wasn't sure why. "Do you want me to let you know when I arrive?" Well, if he was no longer interested in her, she'd find out soon enough.

"Yes, please!" Stefan exclaimed. "I am definitely glad to hear from you." He was feeling rather caught off guard by the fact Kaylara was going to be on the station had been on the station. And he had no clue!

She chuckled, relieved that he seemed to want to see her. "I would have said something, but I got called away immediately. I'll explain what I can when I see you. I'm about four hours out."

"Sounds good" Stefan replied, feeling a huge thrill running through his body. And he signed off.


***Four hours later***

Stefan was finding himself unable to truly concentrate on his tasks for the day, and that was him gathering intelligence by listening into conversations and gaining other information from his own contacts. He could scarcely believe what was about to happen, and that was the fact of Kaylara coming back to the station.

Kaylara wasn't quite sure how to feel when she got off the shuttle with her duffel bag. She was dressed in black jeans, a black tank top, black ankle boots, and chains. Chains on her wrists, around her neck, cupped to one ear, and decorating her jeans and boots. She looked like a rebel and, in a way, she felt like one.

She looked around to see if Stefan had come to meet her, telling herself it didn't matter if he was too busy--even if she hoped to see him. At the same time, she was half afraid of how he'd react.

The doors to the shuttle bay opened and Stefan stepped through, his pace being rather hurried. His eyes locked onto Kaylara, and his smile lit up his face. "Kaylara!" He called out and almost in the next moment, he swept her into his arms, lifting her up and twirling her around then gave her a heartfelt kiss.

She dropped her bag to wrap her arms around him and return the kiss, then hugged him tightly. "It's good to see you again." Even in the short time she'd been gone, she missed him more than she thought she would and was doubly glad for the time she still had to stay on the station.

"Do you have some quarters assigned to you?" Stefan asked once the kiss was over. He was certainly radiating amazement at just being able to hold her in his arms once more. "Lets stow your bag, either at your quarters, or you can stay at my place." he stroked her lips with his thumb, "I would love it if you were to stay with me, I am inviting you to do so. That is if you would like."

She playfully nipped at his thumb. "I don't have any quarters yet. I wasn't sure when I'd be back." A slow smile spread across her face. If she had any doubts about how Stefan would respond to her arrival, they were gone. "I would like nothing better than to stay with you."

"Fantastic!" Stefan replied with a small fist pump in the air. He picked up her duffel bag and held out his hand to Kaylara, "lets go."

===Stefan's Quarters===

The door made a swishing sound when it opened, and when they stepped inside, Stefan placed Kaylara's bag upon a chair. "Welcome to my humble abode." Then did a dramatic sweeping gesture to show off his quarters. "There is room for you to store your belongings, there is a kitchenette for if and when I want to cook something. You are welcome to use it as well. Do you want something to eat and drink?"

She considered that for a moment. "I think I'd like a shower first. One with actual water. I've been on that shuttle for too long." then she gave Stefan a wicked smile. "You're welcome to join me."

Stefan gave a devilish grin at her offer and gave a nod. "I would love to." walking towards Kaylara. "Lets have a bit of clean fun." his shirt already coming off.
