Timeline: its the Bachelorette party

The time was at hand, for the party for Aer. Kaylee had sent out the invitations to the ladies and hoped that they would make it. She arrived at Neptunes Folly to look things over, she was nervous in all honesty as this was her first Bachelorette party she's hosted ever. Will the ladies arrive? Will the guest of honor arrive? So many questions arose in her mind. The place looked fabulous just as Niska had promised like it normally would be. She also wondered how the Bachelor party was going for Patton. She pulled out her PaDD and sent Liam a message.
How is the stag do going for you?
Elizabeth entered Neptune's Folly with her violin case in hand looking around awkwardly like she didn't belong. Seeing Kaylee she approached, "Hey."
"Hi Elizabeth, glad you could make it, we've got a really lovely area for the party." taking the first arrival to where things were set up. "going to play for us this evening?" Kaylee asked.
"I don't know. I've never been to one of these before. I figured I'd bring it just in case."
Audie had no clue what one did at a bachelorette party, much the less what to wear, but she figured they were all friends, even if she really only knew Kaylee, and any breach of protocol could quickly be fixed, so she chose a multi-colored 'broom' skirt and fluffy peasant blouse, going for a Bo-Ho look, as well as comfort.
As she entered the cafe, she looked around, smiling. The place looked great!
"Hey!" she greeted Kaylee, and the other young woman, who was carrying an instrument case. "Man, if I'd known there was a band, I would have offered to bring my bodhran...it's a drum," she grinned, "so I really don't need to know the tunes!" Maybe she could send for it?
"Oh, and I'm Audie," she introduced herself to Elizabeth, "Marine paramedic, cat servant!"
"Nice to meet you, Audie. Elizabeth, and prodigious tinkered, and musician."
Adira was nervous as she arrived at the Folly. If the invite hadn't come from sweet Kaylee she'd never have considered it. This would be the first interaction with a majority of the staff, many of which had not known the truth about her at first. She'd lied to them for 10 months. A cold shoulder common from some, she wondered how tonight would go. She had an escape plan ready to do, something about one of the twins throwing up or something. She wore a blue halter top dress that was fairly comfortable and had a flowy skirt and some floral embroidery. She never got to wear stuff like this back where she was from.
"Glad you could make it!" Kaylee greeting Elizabeth, Adira, and Audie each with an embrace. "And you all look fantastic. And maybe I need to get changed." giving a bit of a laugh, for Kaylee was still wearing her security uniform, she had been so nervous as to how things were going to go that she came right after work. "If you'll wait right here, I'll go see if I can get something to change into." then she disappeared into the back area, a few minutes pass by and she comes out wearing a black flowy skirt with a red hibiscus on it and a red peasant blouse, "Okay now I feel much better." with a smile, her hair was loose one side caught up with a comb that had a flower on it.
Blackjack was finally tying the knot and Erin knew that there would be more than one broken heart when they heard that fact. However, now was the time for celebration and initiation of sorts. She would have to get to know the Missus CO. Erin opted to put her long brown hair up in a ponytail. She wore a plaid flannel shirt that she had tied into a crop top, a pair of ripped jeans, and cowboy boots. She walked into Neptune's Folly and saw that other ladies had gathered but the guest of honor had not arrived yet. Great ahead of schedule... She thought. "Evening ladies..." she said to those gathered as she got a margarita. "I am Erin but you can call me Sparks if ya like." For those who knew Erin her demeanor was entirely different than normal, she was more relaxed, more in her element.
"Hi there, Erin, glad you could join us." Kaylee giving a quick hug to Erin and then stepped back. "Now I am hoping that the bride-to-be will make it tonight. Other than that, we just have a few more to wait on." Kaylee getting herself a drink. "come on up and get a drink. There is entertainment here as well."
Isabelle had been surprised to receive an invitation, she was still new to the station and hardly knew anyone outside of her work colleges. That also had become her main motivation for going to the party. She dressed in a simple pair of black pants, boots, a t-shirt, and a leather jacket that matched and figured she looked decent enough. When she arrived at the Folly and stepped through, she took a look around to get the lay of the land.
"Oh! Hello, Ma'am," Audie addressed Erin, then shook her head and laughed -- this was a casual setting, off duty, so there was no need to be formal with her squad leader. "Sorry, Sparks...I didn't think I'd see you here."
Well, she really hadn't known who to expect, and honestly really didn't know who the guest of honor was, nor whom she was marrying...she was here because Kaylee had asked her.
"Should be some fun, eh? 'Course, I've never been to one of these, I was just hoping they'd have strippers or something!" She laughed.
"Would you like strippers?" A voice rang out behind her. Niska moved fluidly, her dress flowing and showing just enough leg. In her hand was a tray as she was handing out drinks. "I can make a call. Male, female? Both?"
"Strippers?" Elizabeth nearly choked over her glass. "You can get strippers here on the station?"
"You can get most things IF you know who to connect with," Niska said simply.
"Definitely different from a starship," Elizabeth stated.
Erin turned to Niska with a devilish look on her face. "You know both, both, both is good." She then turned to Audie. "Today there are no sirs or ma'ams. Unless you are asking 'Would you like another drink ma'am?' In which case the answer will always be yes." Erin said with a chuckle. "It is not often that you get to attend the Hen Party of your future Mrs. CO," she added
"Of course." Grinning, Audie nodded. And I'll keep an eye on those drinks, too!"
More ladies were showing up, and even without the guest-of-honor not yet here, an actual party was starting to get underway.
The green alien handed a glass to the redhead. "It's been a while. You sense to have gone through hell. Does Liam know your back?" she asked Danae. "He was very worried about you."
Juni blushed a little as she approached the woman and took the glass. "Thanks. And No, I've not really seen anyone yet, but I'll check in with him another time," she said. "I must thank him for taking care of my cats for a few weeks." she grinned and then raised her glass before moving on to mingle.
Aer had been caught up in a call from some of her 'other' superiors at Starfleet Intelligence. There had been information passed through that showed an increase in activity in the area and whereas she had seen it and passed on this information apparently SI wanted to make a personal call on the matter. This put her back a bit from arriving AT HER OWN PARTY. Sometimes moving up the pips wasn't worth the extra responsibility.... but she got ready after and made a move to Neptune's Folly.
That gave her pause as that was where Niska was. She wondered if Kaylee knew that, probably not. Might make for some awkward fun, who knows.
Kara and Kaia strolled into the Folly, uncertain of what the evening was to be. Kara had to do a bit of convincing for Kaia to come, parties were not her thing. She didn't enjoy social functions. Kara reached over grabbing her sister's arm, as she could feel Kaia had stopped walking. "Oh come on," Kara pulled Kaia's arm, a bit harder, "it's going to be fun, I promise."
Kaia rolled her eyes, "you know I don't like parties," she looked around the Folly, "and this one is for the Blackjack's new wife. Pass," she grinned.
"Why do you call him that," Kara chuckled, "you know he has a name, right?"
"Whatever," Kaia looked around the room, "Hey, isn't the bride suppose to be here?"
"Maybe they forgot to invite her?" Kara shrugged.
Kaylee walked up, "Oh good you made it" giving a smile to the twins. "I had sent messages to everyone. And she isn't here yet. I think I may have to give her a direct call then." Kaylee tapping on her comm badge.
"Aer are you okay? Will you be joining us? Or will I need to come get you?" Kaylee asked, a smile in her voice.
She turned to the twins, "Well the others are over there." she giving Kara and Kaia an embrace. "and we can go talk with the others. And I think Niska offered some strippers if people would like that."
Kaia looked to her sister than the others, pointing to the bar, "I find my spot." The Marine took off before anyone could stop here.
"I'm here! I'm here!" Aer said entering the room a little out of breath. She had opted for a casual dress also, it was nice to get out of a stuffy uniform. The dress itself was just above her knees, had a strapped shoulder with a modest neckline, show off a little cleavage as she wasn't going to let her be the only awkward feeling one tonight, and maybe that was being a bit too naughty towards Niska but she couldn't help it. "I am so sorry I am late. I was on a call with my other bosses and for people who like to keep secrets for a living they sure love to talk!"
Kaylee chuckled, "Well, I think that we can start the party, now." giving Aer an embrace. She introduced those that were there, This is Audie, Kara, and Kai,
Erin stepped forward with a smile and a drink for Aer. "Well, it is about time Mrs. Top arrives. Jacko is going to have to teach you some of that Marine punctuality." She teased, truth was Erin looked forward to this party. She wanted to get to know the woman who would marry her CO. The Kingsmen were a family and if Aer was going to join, then Sparks would make sure she was worthy.
Juni smirked as she watched the marine woman, and the sizing up she did of the bride. She was trying to enjoy this, to soak up the positive energy of the happy people around her. This is a party she should have been able to have... but rather she was now a widow. Still, she put on a smile and took a few extra drinks, letting the alcohol hit her, despite the fact Alcaren got drunk VERY easily.
Isabella finally decided to make her way over to the bar, she always seemed to be better around coworkers vs people she really didn't know and drinks seemed to help. She found a bottle of tequila that seemed interesting and decided to pour a shot and as soon as it hit her lips she knew she was in trouble. It tasted damn good.
Going over to the bar for a refill, Audie nodded to Isabella, raising an eyebrow. "Tequila, huh? That stuff's pretty good. Actually, a sunrise sounds good. Have you ever had one of those?" Nothing like hiding the taste of alcohol with yummy sweet stuff!
Isabella looked up and half smiled at the woman, she considered for a second, before pouring a second shot and shrugging while offering to pour her one, "When I was in the academy I would drink things like sunrises, and about the third drink I would switch to straight liquor. Somewhere along the way I just started with straight liquor, I caught my dear old Dad's taste for sweeter liquors like tequila and bourbon."
"Problem with those," Audie commented as she took the glass offered, "is that it's easy to forget you're drinking alcohol until it's too late." She laughed and raised the glass. "To the bride, and to strippers!" Then food and gift bags were announced and she shrugged. "Shall we? Never turn down free food or free gifts, right?"
"Was the food prepped by a Marine?" Isabella asked after downing the second shot, she didn't follow it up with any lime-like most but smirked at Audie. "Wouldn't want to find any crayons in it. We have a slightly higher standard in security. I do like the idea of strippers though, as long as can dance and are sexy."
"Oh, lord, I hope the Marines aren't cooking!" Audie laughed, then shrugged. "Let's get a better seat for the strippers!"
A red-headed woman came up to Niska whispering in her ear, and Niska nodded, "Sorry ladies I am needed elsewhere, but please enjoy, and Meg here." pointing to the red-head will be taking over on being the hostess. If you need anything talk to her. Bye." and she left in a hurry, not looking at Aer.
Kaylee watched as Niska left, knowing that there were several reasons for what was going on. She didn't say anything though for a moment, then she turned to Meg. "Okay so, with you being the hostess, what is on the agenda for entertainment."
Meg smiled and smoothed out her green grecian style tunic. "Well ladies, I do know there are a couple of strippers coming here, one male one female they are all the rage due to their dance routine. However, come there is food waiting. Its a buffet set up for what you would like." Meg leading the way.
Kaylee nodded and looked at the women, " I'm hungry and there are gift bags at the tables too." following after Meg.
From the bar, Kaia was already on her second shot. She knew how this was going to go down. Sooner or later her annoying sister would come over, spouting something about being an antisocial stick in the mud. Honestly, at times, Kaia wondered how they were related. They were the complete opposite, she gave a required smile to a nearby guest. Her sister was already deep in the social scene. She gestured to the bartender, for a third, she knew she was going to need it if she planned on surviving this party. She sighed as she scanned the crowd. Regrettably, she knew she was going to have to mingle or risk the wrath of her sister, but with who?
As Kaylee was headed towards the table, a ping was heard on her PaDD and she took a look at it. she gave a gasp at what she read and turned " I'll be back ladies, I've go to take care of something."
A few minutes do pass by and Kaylee returns, and accompanying her are the strippers wearing clothing, "Go grab a bite to eat and once we're settled in, you can get ready for your performance." Kaylee stated.
The man had light brown skin, definitely rather well built, his name was given as , Edmund, and the woman, was a redhead with brilliant green eyes. And quite shapely. Her name was Serena. Serena and Edmund got themselves some food then went to a separate area to eat, though both of them did smile at the ladies they passed by.
Kaylee, who was now wearing a ring with diamonds set into roses, walked up to Kaia, "Hi glad you arrived, but I think I had already said that." giving a laugh. "Okay let's get to eating, and definitely give thanks to our hostess." And once the ladies made their way to the tables and gotten their food, Kaylee stood up, and said. "Okay A toast, anyone wish to make a toast to the bride-to-be? Aer make certain you sit at the chair of honor." giving a smile.
Kaia reluctantly followed the Lieutenant, as she felt the emotions from her sister telling her to calm down or else. This event was after all for her Commanding Officer's future wife, she had to at the least be respectful.
Aer was taking in all that was happening around her. The food, the strippers, everything was all happening at once and thankfully she had Kaylee to keep her focused on where she needed to be. Her eyes did drift over Edmund and Serena for a moment, their frame and shape lighting her imagination for a brief moment before Kaylee spoke. "Okay, I'll sit in the big fancy chair." she smiled and moved to sit before looking around at the table of women.
Kaylee rose from her seat held up a glass to Aer. "To Aer, may you and Jack have a wonderful life. And am glad I met you." then she turned towards the others. "And I am glad you all came to this party." giving a warm smile, then she sat down.
"Yes, thank you all for coming. I know I do not know some of you but I believe in family and I think that is what we are here, or will become. We look out for each other, care for another. It means a lot to me that you are here. Special thanks goes to Kaylee for setting this up. I do not know much about Human traditions before a life bond but I am enjoying it so far." Aer said raising her glass back to the room.
Kaylee nodded, and smiled lifting her glass in return towards Aer.
Grinning, Audie raised her glass along with the others, hoping there would be a lot of toasts, as that meant a lot of shots, although for herself, she didn't know the bride well enough to off something personal, so she tossed out an old Ukrainian toast. "‘Za nas, za vas, i za dodomu!"
The performers, Edmund and Serena were finished eating and it was time for their performance. They moved to where the ladies could see them, then the music started to play. Both of them started dancing, starting off in a waltz position then Edmund gave Serena a twirl, and part of her outfit came off and she was there with a sequined bra her lower half still covered. Serena then snapped her fingers and his shirt disappeared in a puff of smoke showing his well-toned torso.
Kaylee's eyes were wide. "Stripper magic?" she exclaimed. "I've not seen anything like this before."
Serena and Edmund would move around the table, performing some simple magic tricks, a card trick, a coin from behind the ear, a flower from seemingly out of nowhere. Edmund goes over to Audie, reaches behind her ear and then a silk handkerchief appears. He hands it to her then he walks over to Aer and does the same. It seems that the two kerchiefs are attached to his belt loop. Serena then says, "Okay ladies, pull!"
Aer's eyes lit up a little when she saw where the handkerchief led too, she had a feeling that what was going to happen but she smiled and winked at Audie before doing as they were told and pulled on said kerchief.
The twins took sits beside each other and the events started to unfold around them, Kara was gleeful and excited while Kaia folded her arms and was attempting to look as unpleasant as possible. Kara looked at Kaia, "seriously could you at least attempt to look like you're having fun."
Kaia looked at her sister, and plastered on a fake smiled, "better," she stated out loud getting a few looks. "It's rude to talk privately, or did you forget that," she smiled again only this time it was sincere.
Kara picked up her drink as she downed it, "I think I am going to need more of these," she laughed as she took note of the handkerchief, "oh my."
Who was she to disobey orders? Audie grinned and nodded to Aer, then pulled her end of the kerchief on cue, knowing that it wasn't going to reveal everything but at least it would reveal enough!
And yes the pants came off, between the pulling of both kerchiefs. It revealed the undergarment which was black and silky, showing off his well toned legs. He strutted his stuff, dancing in front of Audie moving his hips then over to Aer, moving then as well.
Just as he was getting ready to start getting a collection of money from the ladies there, his dance is interrupted.
RED ALERT is sounded.
"There is an explosion at the Elysian Dreams!"
Kaylee stood up, feeling rather alarmed. She knew that several of the department heads were at the stag do. She took off running, out of Niska's bar.
The grating blare of the klaxon startled Audie for a second -- it certainly wasn't something she expected here, and at the good part, too -- but she was up in an instant, charging out the door with the others, wishing she was in uniform, but that couldn't be helped.
Aer shot up from her seat. She knew where Jack was having his stag and an explosion in there meant nothing good. "I need to get there, now!" she moved quickly for the exit.
