It was a difficult talk with Adira, Cara left feeling stressed and needing a slight escape. For some reason it always seemed that when she really needed one, Cara was drawn back to Faux's establishment. It had been her haven when she was working out where she wanted to go. It was where she had first met Neil Harrington and where she met Mattix, and where she had brought a date to dine there while the Pioneer was on shoreleave. Brushing her hair from about her face, feeling the vestiges of strands starting to go awry. She adjusted her dark blue shirt, to make certain it was straight, brushed off a little bit of lint off of her shoes. Cara then stepped inside the Admiral on Deck and took in a deep breath, getting the scent of the food that was being cooked, the soft murmurs of the patrons of the place.

Most times that would make her stress just ebb away, however at the moment it wasn't happening. With a slight soft growl of frustration, Cara strode over towards the bar, went behind it and poured herself a rather stiff drink. Seh didn't take time to savor the flavor as she normally did. Cara just slammed it back, feeling the burn of the alcohol make its way downwards.

" I never thought this would happen when I took up your invitation to come here to clear my head, Faux." Cara uttered mostly to herself.

Faux just shrugged his shoulders, without making eye contact with Cara he walked over to the bar. "I mean sure, why wouldn't someone listen to me," he took the bottle out of her hands and poured himself a glass. I mean I've been here long, I've met a lot of the people," he nodded, "and at one point I wore that uniform. But hey," he sighed, "don't need to listen to that do you."

He downed the glass and poured a second, "I mean that theory is working for you, right?" He smirked.

"Oh it most certainly is." Cara poured herself another. "You did suggest that I just say no, however, I felt I was needed. And so I didn't heed." she took a sip of her drink this time. "Not fun having to let a relative know that their beloved has been taken off the station." Cara turned her head to make eye contact with Faux. "You saw it coming though, what I would end up doing." giving a slight shrug, and a half smirk. Lifting her glass towards Faux.

"If you plan on crying in that drink," he nodded, "you're in the wrong establishment, the White Stag is down the corridor."

Cara raised an eyebrow at that, a slight smile appeared. "Competitive as usual eh Terrin? Besides I don't want to ruin a drink by adding salt, doesn't help the flavor. I came here for a good dose of your wisdom, your wit and just to clear my head. I admit I am or was, feeling a wee bit sorry for myself. " raising her hand and holding her index and thumb with a space between them.

"I'm not sure why you would be feeling that way," he looked up as if checking his memory. "Don't deal with Harrington, check.. team Faux. Don't put the uniform back on.." he acted shocked, "team Faux again. Don't deal with Harrington's kid..would you look at that team Faux again."

He looked at her, "I could stop but this is getting to be fun." He took the bottle from her and poured another drink.

"Here's something different," he looked at her, "try thinking of what's best for yourself." He smacked the back of her head, "take care of Cara, the rest will fall into place. You're too busy thinking of everything and everyone else."

"Ow!" Cara groused, rubbing the back of her head, "I am working on taking care of me. There are complicated matters that I don't even know about, and that is the crux of it. If I don't know what is locked up inside here." pointing towards her mind. "I won't be able to fully sort myself out-" her eyes widened, Cara couldn't believe she mentioned that to Terrin. She had been closed-mouthed about what's been going on even to him. "You sly fox."

"Up here," he tapped her forehead, "now that's a mess that I am not sure even the most gifted Counselor could sort out." He tossed a dish rag at her, "if you are going to come down here, Captain," he smiled, "then get to work."

"If you want my opinion," he knew she didn't, "you spend too much time trying to figure out the why. Perhaps you need to focus on the where. Like where is your life heading now? Your life is falling into place, and that scares you; you don't want a repeat of the past. You keep putting so much thought into that, that in time, it will."

"Embrace the new and revitalized Cara," he shrugged, "and allow her to move you forward."

Cara laughed, as she caught the dishrag and began to clean. "You are wise yet again Terrin. And embrace the moments is what I tell those who come to see me. I need to follow those words myself. Well, I am starting to do so, and yes I have been scared. And now I have something more to add where I owe you many thanks and well some missing work hours." flashing a smile and giving Terrin a wink. "I owe you a lot."

Terrin smiled at Cara's response, knowing that sometimes a little push in the right direction is all someone needs. "You're welcome, Captain. You know where to find me if you need more advice or just a stiff drink." He picked up a rag, "Of course you wouldn't miss this place if you bothered to show up every now and then."

"I do need to come here more often. It does help me to relax." Cara responded with a smile. "Oh looks like you've got some customers coming in as well and I had better get back to work before the boss of this fine establishment fires me" giving a wink to Terrin.

Terrin rolled his eyes, "should have done that a long time ago."
