Commmunity Service Citation

This can include but not limited to recruiting, pulling the crew together, posting, helping to fill in the "gaps", and/or helping maintain their ship's website are just a few of the things that could count toward this award.

Truly, this is one award to cherish when received.

What can one say about Cara that hasn't already been said? Cara is truly the OOC Queen. It is hard to think of Poseidon and not think of Cara. She's always willing to lend a hand. Joint Posts, Mission Planning, Character Development, and Member Engagement; Cara is already at the forefront ready and willing to assist any member with whatever needs they might have. For all these reasons and so many more, it is my honor to give Cara the Community Service Citation.

At the beginning of my journey here on Poseidon station from when I was but a mere Millicent Bystander, to where I am now, I am amazed even more where Harrington is concerned. The man behind the mask has become even more of a friend than I could have imagined. With his engaging ways and the concern and care he exhibits towards those of us who are in this community, he has made this station like a home and a place that I feel like I can just blossom out creatively. Its not often that a person can find a place like this. Myself and K'Doc had belonged to another station which had the same feeling,it did close down and we didn't know if we would find another place that we felt this much of a community feeling with such creative energy. That other station was really good but this community has actually gone further up the scale of quality.

Jason, I don't know if you realize just how amazing you are and how important that this community exists. Thank you for providing an environment that has made my soul take flight and my imagination to blossom out even more. It has made me feel more daring, and more comfortable to share ideas where as at times in the past, I've just allowed myself to sit on the sidelines. I am seeing that I am gaining more confidence, and it feels amazing. Thank you, definitely thank you.

I think this one explains itself. Cara Letsul has been there for EVERYONE on this sim. From writing with those who have no one to sim with, To ramrodding a storyline. She checks in with quite a number of us online, and does her best to be a friend to new and seasoned players alike and to help those in need. She helps out when and where needed and helps make this sim the community that it is.

When I first came to the Poseidon Station I was amazed at the welcoming spirit of the writers here, however the one thing that has really stood out to me was the painstaking care Jake aka Harrington had put forth to interact with people both in character and out of character. He has put in full effort of helping people putting out recruitment advertisements worked to resolve issues that has come about. To me he is the epitome of what this award stands for. He certainly does his best to keep this community of writers going forward, and I feel he is very successful as well. The love for the people here he treats as good friends and even like family. Well done Jake, you truly deserve this awards. It is another big reason why I wanted to join as well. Thank you!

Lieutenant Hiro Yoshida - "Anyone who's been on the SB50/Poseidon sim for a while knows how "close" he is to the sim. What's the phrase? It's his "baby"? And the recent effort he put in to find another home for the sim makes this reward well deserved."

Commander Seklar - "Always willing to jump in to help people along, always trying to keep people involved no matter what, and working hard to keep the site "good looking" and functional."

Lieutenant Commander Junipyr Danae - "Shut up and take it bonehead"

Lieutenant JG Aer Feshau - "Where do I begin? For the enormous effort that Jakers puts in as the leader of our rag tag group of mad people. The continuous efforts in engaging us in the Discord and for making the Poseidon a really great place to write. The spirit he has helped nurture within our group is matched in only a rare few of the sims I write for and I for one put that down to excellent leadership from him. I have struggled on station sims before but on here I have loved every minute of that and that goes down to the way the game is ran. I have been given creative freedom, my own mission and that shows the trust placed in me and my style of writing. A bigger compliment could not be given, although I will accept money transfers ;) Seriously though... this sim has been through a lot recently and he has held it together exceptionally well. I for one am thankful he leads us and hope for a long time to keep this sim going. Cannot ask for a nicer man to lead us, a braver man to fight for us and he is someone I would help out in any way I can. A friend from across the ocean ;)"

Lieutenant Commander Liam Reynolds - "For all the hard work recruiting new and interesting players of late to join us in our epic adventures, doing a great job keeping everyone happy, amused and motivated as always and being there for a chat and advice whenever I have needed to come seek your counsel. You are the heart of Poseidon station. Recognise that and accept an award dam it! I will be mortified if your refuse me putting through a second one!!!!!"

Lieutenant Sha'nae Ba'au - "All hail the CO of this game. Without him, there would be no game! No place for us to write!"

Marine Captain Jack Patton - "So as of late our good Admiral has put forth a Herculean effort for this sim. It is rare that I or anyone else for that matter nominates a CO for a sim award. However, here it is beyond warranted. When someone gets so immersed in their sim that they make it a part of them it should be recognized. If anyone worked in service of their crew, their players it is Harrington. There is not enough that I can say about this CO..."

A'Koja Dea - "It's been a difficult time lately for Jakers and any other GM might have been disheartened and taken some time away. But instead, he's rallied and more than just carried on, re-homing the sim as he felt lead to and working on site resources and maintaining posting and encouraging everyone without festering in drama. I'm seriously impressed"

Lt Skye has been instrument in this simm's recovery and growth over the last few months; both in character and especially out of character. She has been a rock, a sounding board, and a something that I can truly call a friend. She's never been assisting where ever needed and has never hesitated to help when something has been asked of her. Thank you for all you do ~Harrington

Joining as a civilian, Irov chVahleq, this player saw a need within the simm for a stronger security department and soon requested to take over the position. Since stepping up he's been instrumental in assisting with department set up and mission development. He has a knack for things in character, but he's also been working behind the sense as an unofficial member of the command staff; reviewing policy, applications, and offering guidance as needed. Thank you for all you do. ~Harrington
