Mission: Pages...
Location: Holosuite
Timeline: One Hour After Wedding Bells Part II

After the vows exchanged, the ceremony over and the meal had it was time for the party. The holosuite had changed to that same backdrop but this time it was at night with all that same beautiful sights as before with the addition of fireflies floating through the air.

It was almost like an elven story of old, the feel of magic in the air, the smell of the grass and the now open free bar that stood near a cliffside. The bar itself was made out of the wood that surrounded the nearby landscape. The wood twisted together to form the bar, the large array of drinks behind it and a holo bartender to help serve the stream of customers to drink it dry.

Now it was time to party...

Aer and Jack had a few moments alone. They'd walked down the aisle as husband and wife, now joined for all of their lifetime (hopefully) and Aer clutching his arm as if he was about to fly away. The holodeck had emptied briefly also for the changing of scenery and whatnot and Jack and Aer had went to a separate room before re-joining them rest.

They had released each other when crossing the threshold into a small holding space. It had a nice window to look out of which the stars romantically by.

"How does that bracelet feel husband?" Aer's eyes twinkled at him.

Jack glanced at the cuff style bracelet. It was made in the El Aurian style but it reminded him of the style of bracelets made by Native Americans. He smiled and ran his hand down Aer's cheek. "It feels like it was always meant to be there, my bride and joy."

Aer blushed, a flush colour in her cheeks to rival even the most red skinned alien. "I am glad you like it." she said admiring her own. "It is an El Aurian custom. You can see our family joined crest at the top. Your dad was nice enough to let me see yours and then we worked something out."

"Oh really..." Jack smirked. "You went and spoke to the old man behind my back. I am sure he regaled you with the entire history of the Patton family and the family crest. It is after all his favorite topic." Jack smiled at his jibe. "You know speaking of families your father seemed to be especially nice today. If I may be so bold I think he rather likes the man you chose." He winked to emphasize his jests.

"I think I might have been with him for a full year but you can't tell by looking at me." Aer teased back about Jack's fathers spinning of tales about the Patton lineage and his own exploits. "As for my father, well, he does have the ultimate politician face." she knew Jack was taking this in his stride. "He is happy that I am happy. I think that is all we'll get from him until he's more used to the idea." She thought for a moment. "Plus he did seem to bring all the highly positioned El Aurians he could find. Ambassador Orihana, High General Ageas, I think I even saw Unc... Captain Thorrin as well. Not to mention my mother and family." she added forgetting them for a moment.

Jack's lips pursed at the mention of Thorrin. He was still on the fence as to whether or not he actually liked Aer's uncle. "I saw Thorrin out there and now I am curious what he was doing with a Romulan woman on his arm." He smiled and proffered his arm. "But that will have to wait for another time. I think it is time to make an entrance. Our public awaits..."

"Well Colonel, lead the way. At this point I am the wife of a highly decorated marine commander and I think your troupe, or whatever you call them, will be the first ones to welcome us in. Plus all the drink is free." she laughed lightly. "Hopefully you're marines can keep up with some of the Klingons I saw." she mused.

"Watching them go drink for drink will be a sight. Especially with the station's Security Chief mixed into that lot." Jack laughed heartily and he waited for his laughter to die down before giving Meatball the signal.

Robert Schiano was the First Sergeant for the Kingsmen and perhaps Jack's oldest friend. As such he was given the honor to announce the couple when they entered the reception. He saw Jack's signal and smiled. He stood in front of the crowd in front of the arch of the holo suite. "Oy! Youze bunch of moochers eatin all da free food and drinkin the free booze. Gimme yer attention and for all youze dat where da uniform dat means Attention On Deck!" Civilians laughed at the joke but paid attention, some of the brass smiled and others scowled but Robert didn't care. All of the Kingsmen came to attention. "Ladies and Gentlemen I give you for the first time as husband and wife. Lieutenant Colonel Jack Patton and Commander Aer Feshau-Patton." He stood aside and rendered a salute as other Marines raised their hands to their foreheads.

"Well my wife that's our cue." Jack said as the door opened and the couple stepped through and into the party that was in their honor.

Kaylee made her way to the bar, admiring the craftsmanship of it before she ordered a drink. "This is beautiful." she said to no-one in particular. Just wanting to comment aloud. The drink she received was a glass of champagne, and getting it from the bartender, Kaylee decided to just walk around to get a better look at the scenery.

Neil followed a large delegation into the main dining area of the celebration. He was impressed with the entire holo-program. He held onto Adira a bit tighter as he whispered in her ear, "You think the grandmothers might be able to watch the kids for the entire night?" A part of him was serious, and another part was joking. The collective grandmothers couldn't make up their minds on who was watching the kids, so they were sitting in his quarters.

Neil wasn't sure who had it worse: the kids or the grandmother. "An evening away," he smiled, "Come on Addie, what the worst that could happen?"

Adira smiled at him calling her Addie again. She'd missed that term of endearment. "I'm sure they could be convinced." she said as she walked in step with him. "We haven't had a night just the two of us in a really long time." she mused. "I'd enjoy it." she added, "And I'll totally make it worth your while." she whispered back and bit her lower lip.

K'doc and Khylara made they're way over to the bar. " Two Chech 'tluth. " he ordered and handed one of the mugs to Khylara. " So what are your impressions about the wedding ceremony? " He inquired.

"It was rather nice." Khylara remarked "Definitely different than Klingon ceremony. Though i have seen ceremonies of other cultures which were different." giving a toothy smile.

" I still prefer the Klingon ceremony myself. " Stated K'doc. " More practical and to the point."

Thorrin stepped back into the holosuite with T'ra on his arm. He looked around at the servers and what they passed around. A small frown came across his face as he realized that there was no wine, just champagne and some steel tankards. Thorrin learned that the tankards were filled with the Groom's favorite drink something called a Bee Sting. He rather liked the mixture of cultures, it showed the true heritage of El Aurians. With a flourish he took two tankards from a tray. "When in Rome m'dear... When in Rome." He passed one of the tankards to T'ra.

T'ra took the mug and gave a sip. " It doesn't have the kick of a good heady romulan ale, but it still has a bite and a nice flavor to it. " She said with a grin. " But I still prefer a good quality wine and have a reliable wine dealer when needed. He's never steered me wrong when it comes to a good top shelf wine. Stated T'ra with a warm smile and a gleam in her eye.

T'ra glanced at Thorrin's face and started to pull a small handkerchief from her sleeve. " Thorrin could you bend down a little please? You seem to have something on your face. " As he bent down she threw her arms around his neck and kissed him upon his lips and held it for several seconds. " Well I believe I made my intentions clear enough, I am very interested in you and would like to pursue a relationship with you. I hope you feel the same. " She slid her arm through the crook of his arm and laid her head gently against his shoulder.

Thorrin had since time immemorial been a man of propriety. When T'ra tricked him of sorts into a kiss, it through him for a loop briefly. The befuddlement could be seen for a split second on his face before he regained control of himself. "Relationships like hot bath water is not something that one should just jump into. For the immediate let us enjoy this evening and each other's company. Then tomorrow there can be much to discuss." He proffered his arm for her to take. Thorrin knew that when this wedding was over he would have much to think about.

T'ra smiled at Thorrin and seemed content. " If that is what you'd like, then it shall be as you wish. " She said with unwavering confidence. " we can have a pleasant conversation with perhaps a glass of wine or two, if you'd like we could meet in my quarters and I can prepare a small meal if your agreeable to it. "

For the first time since he could remember Thorrin was at a loss. He did not know which woman to court or allow to court him. There was a part of him that would send them both packing. However, that decision was not reached as of yet. Her quarters would allow for the secrecy he needed for the time being. "Yes your quarter would due nicely. However, I would have to check my schedule for the time. So, for the time being we will put that on the back burner as it is said and enjoy these festivities." He sipped the champagne that he had taken from a server's tray.

T'ra smiled and nodded. Very well, just let me know the time and I shall have everything prepared for your arrival. "

Jack and Aer strode in waiving to the crowd that applauded with gusto. Jack rendered a salute to his fellows and then pointed at his wife in adoration.

Aer smiled as she entered the room with her new husband. She watched him salute his men and she felt an urge to do the same but did not. She didn't feel she had the 'right' and simply clung to her new husbands arm as the moved into the centre of the room.

Brina had slipped away to change from her dress uniform into a pretty dress, a lovely sapphire blue with her hair swept back in to a flattering up do. She had clip on earrings, faux diamonds with a sapphire in the center. And a simple silver necklace with a sapphire pendant. A simple pair black one inch heels completed the outfit. She had dropped her boys off at the childcare center in order to spend some time alone with Nicholas. She wanted to dance with her husband, him pulling her into his arms and they danced.

Cara walked back inside, her arm linked with David. "What do you think about this? It is a beautiful setting and one that fits Aer. She certainly looks radiant." giving a happy smile.

"As do you." David Scarlet replied with a gentle squeeze of her arm. It was true, Cara seemed to have this way about her, whether it was under these artificial lights or the stars on the planet below. She simply seemed to glow.

"Why thank you David." Cara looking up into his eyes. "You helped me in that regard, I thank you for agreeing to going down to the planet with me."

"Of course," David replied. "Would you like me to get you something to drink or someone you want shown the door?" The second half was in jest, and he offered a somewhat cheeky grin.

Cara gave out a low warm chuckle, "A drink would be good, shall we?"

Both Captain Thorrin and Ambassador Loval stroked their chins in thought as they considered the newlyweds. Even though they both had the same physical affectation their thoughts were entirely different. Thorrin considered Jack Patton and the way his men admired him. The way he loved his men in turn. This was a trait that up until now Thorrin never thought he would want or need. However, now with the new orders to garrison at Poseidon he thought he should learn something after all these years.

Loval considered the couple but mainly Aer and what she could do to help and hinder his future plans. He knew now with Jack at her side getting the coded messages out and back to New Romulus would be even harder. He would have to keep an eye on the couple and if needed replace one of them. However, for now he would allow the couple their chance in the sun.

Kaylee as she wandered about, had finished her drink. She was so caught up in looking at the setting that she literally ran into someone. When she looked to see who she had bumped into her eyes went rather wide. "Oh! Sorry Admiral Rice!" her face going rather red and thankful she didn't have anything in her glass. That would have been even more embarrassing.

"Lieutenant," Tom looked at the figure, "good thing that glass was empty." He turned to walk away but stopped, "Welcome back to the station."

K'doc and Khylara walked back in to the venue once it had changed. He then unclipped his tricorder and began scanning the room to make sure nothing other then the appearance had changed and that nothing extra had been added. Satisfied, he reclipped the tricorder to his belt and once again had Khylara upon his arm.

"Anything good showing up?" Audie grinned as she peered over K'doc's should as he did his scan. She was still in her dress uniform, uncomfortable, but right for the occasion. "Did that scan tell you where all the good food is hiding?"

" Greetings Audie, It is good to see you again. And yes it did tell me where the good food is hiding, The question is should I tell you where I stashed it? " He teased.

"Well, that's hardly fair!" Audie grinned. "I'd offer to fight you for it, but, you know, wedding and all..."

"Audie I don't believe you've met my intended Khylara. " He turned to Khylara. " My Love, this is Sergeant Fitch, who was one of the marines who helped me locate and disarm the other three bombs after the Elysium Dreams incident. She is a good and very capable marine."

Khylara looked at Audie and nodded. "K'doc speaks highly of you, As his friend I shall give you the respect and honor that you deserve as a warrior. "

"Thank you." Audie blushed a bit, this was a huge compliment, and she wouldn't take it lightly. "He's a good man, although he's a bit stingy when it comes to his treats!" She laughed, looking up at K'doc. "You know, though, I'm only competent after a good meal! I learned that from Buster."

Then she looked back at Khylara. "Buster's my cat, he's a big ginger softy with one eye, if you ever see him roaming the station."

K'doc grinned. "So if I ever see your cat roaming the station return him to your quarters?" He asked.

"Yep. Well, unless he's showing off for his girlfriend, Mindy!" Audie laughed.

"And as for being stingy, I wouldn't let you go hungry. I'm just hoping that they haven't burnt all the meat dishes. If they have I'll just have to take Khylara for some Racht and Bregit Lung afterwards. For some strange reason, humans tend to overcook a lot of their foods."

"I have to admit, I do prefer not having to fight with my food!" She laughed again, then shrugged. "Considering who the guests of honor are, I'm willing to bet the food is the best to be had. Makes getting all dressed up worth the trouble!"

K'doc chuckled. Klingons only fight with some of their food. And that which you fight and conquer, yields the most satisfying flavors. At least Colonel Patton will eat a steak that hasn't had all the color and flavor cooked out of it. Like you I am hoping that the food is worth getting dressed up for. "

Mirae adjusted the short mid-rift jacket she'd put on over her little black dress. The Orion woman narrowed her eyes at the security procedures and all the security. It wasn't the fact that it was security or she planned trouble. Star Fleet could be assholes. But that wasn't going to stop her from getting into the party.

"Max!" She called out to the Ensign as he stood a few steps behind adjusting and straightening his uniform. "You look fine, come on. I want to dance!" And get drunk she added silently to herself.

Max couldn't believe the luck he had in getting a date to the wedding. He had found out that Mirae was helpful during the Breen attack and well, she was cute and Annabelle was rather adamant that he find a date to go. He had met Mirae in one of the shops on the promenade. He had been looking for a wedding gift for both the Colonel as well as the Commander. A couple's spa date for the two of them.

Mirae's voice cut through his fussing, and he moved to catch up to her. "You are right, and thanks for coming with me here."

"Thanks for inviting me!" She replied cheerfully. She put her arm through his and smiled broadly toward the security personnel as Max did his thing and got them past.

"Now Max, We need to make a stop at the refreshments table before hitting the dance floor. I wonder if they can make a good Risan sunset here."

"Well then lets find out" Max giving a wide smile. "I'm sure they can make them." walking with Mirae to where the drinks are being served.

Cara walked alongside David heading to go get a drink, she was definitely feeling festive tonight. Aer finally getting married to Jack, a well deserved celebration. "What sort of drink are you looking at having?"

"I'm partial to a good scotch on the rocks." David replied. "How abo-"

"I knew that was your voice you trigger happy nut!" Mirae came up along side Scarlet and gave him an enthusiastic slap on the shoulder. "What in the hell are you doing in these parts?" She eyed him up and down. "And out of uniform! tsk tsk."

David tensed instantly. Mirae. He glanced at Cara. "This is what happens when you don't shoot to kill."

Mirae was unfazed. "Good thing too, I helped take out some of those Breen bastards." She smiled broadly at Cara before extending her hand. "I'm Mirae, old shooting target for the Major here." She looked back and quickly grabbed Max and pulled him up next to her. "This is my date. Max."

Max gave a chuckle and a nod. "Nice to see you Commander, and nice to meet you sir."

Cara gave a nod in acknowledgement. "Nice to see you both. Shooting target eh? I'd like to hear that story. And if Mirae here helped out in that battle then thank you." turning her gaze towards the orion woman.

David nodded to both Mirae and Max while he poured a drink for him and Cara. "Yes, that would be a story for another time."

Mirae smiled, enjoying seeing the man squirm. "Oh, there will be stories. I've actually got a good one for you if you're interested."

David glanced at Cara and then back at Mirae. A slight smile crept across his face. "Business later, right now I'm on a date."

Mirae just chuckled. "Same. I'll catch you later." She wheeled around and took the drink from Max's hand and took a long sip. "To the newlyweds!"

As Admiral Rice was turning to leave, Kaylee reached out a hand towards him. "Wait sir, would you do me a small favor? I know this may seem out of line but would you dance with me? It doesn't have to be way out there but, would you please?" Kaylee was slightly nervous in asking him curling one of her blonde strands along her finger. However she wanted to do such.

Tom's cheeks tinted slightly, "I'm afraid dancing isn't my forte," he fibbed, hoping it sounded convincing. "However, there are plenty of willing partners around who would be delighted to dance with you." He gave a courteous nod. "Lieutenant." With that, he excused himself from the conversation before it could grow any more awkward.

As he walked away, his gaze involuntarily landed on Cara, now accompanied by a stranger. He had tried, but unfortunately, things hadn't panned out. She had made her choice, and he had to honor that. Turning, he met the eyes of the station's newest Ambassador. "Doctor Quinn," he greeted with a smile. "This is quite the unexpected pleasure."

"Now, Admiral," she approached, placing a hand on his shoulder, "you weren't being entirely truthful with that poor Officer, were you?"

Tom blushed once more. "I wouldn't exactly call it a lie, perhaps more of a polite refusal."

Liv let out a sigh, playfully shaking her head. "Well then," she extended her hand, "care to dance?"

Tom stole one last glance at Cara, then turned back to the Ambassador. "Why, Doctor Quinn, I thought you'd never ask," he said, taking her hand as they made their way onto the dance floor.

Kaylee gave a quiet nod, watching him walk away then watched as he went to dance with another lady. Giving a slight sigh, she made her way to where she saw Aer, and walked up to her giving her an embrace. "Hello Aer, just wanted to say congratulations and we can catch up later on okay? I'm going head out now and go get some rest."

Aer had thankfully changed her shoes before re-entering the hall for the party. It was a piece of advice, alongside "take a moment and slip away yourselves, take a moment for you two outside the madness.". She couldn't remember who said it but it was good advice alongside the change of footwear to something more comfortable.

The hug with Kaylee was nice. It was warm and loving, she could feel that from the woman as much as she could probably feel it from her in return. "Thank you Kaylee. I'm glad you made it. Of course we can catch up later. I'd love that... after I sleep for a couple of days though."

Kaylee gave a smile, gave a wave to Jack and left the holosuite.

Cara felt the gaze of someone, whilst she was talking with Mirae, David and Max. She caught sight of Tom having glanced over towards her, then him having been joined by a woman upon the dance floor. She felt a strong twinge of guilt. She'd not spoken to Tom before the wedding ceremony nor afterwards. Nor even spoken to him after the battle. Cara turned her gaze back to where those who were near her, attending to what was currently happening.

Brina took Nicholas's arm leaned her head upon his shoulder. "Love shall we slip away now?"

Nicholas gave a chuckle and walked with her, Brina pausing to say to Aer. "Congratulations once again Aer." Giving a wink towards Jack then they departed.
